Reviewed By vas7117It was just a overnight stay business trip in Karur and having looked up on Trip advisor, The Residency Karur seemed to be the only reliable obvious choice. The Residency is a Chennai based hotel group which has been in operation for decades and has a reputation for delivering standards. Hence I was in a sense of comfort that I would not foresee any quality issues. My very brief stay was a mixed ball of good and bad. First the Good must never go acknowledged : 1. Location is awesome. Heart of the town. 2. The hotel has ample parking space. 3. The staff are very courteous and friendly. 4. The internet speed is decent for work. 5. The breakfast was a good spread and enjoyable. Now the not so great things the hotel must look into : 1. The property needs a overhaul very badly. 2. The shower is horrible. Water hitting everywhere. 3. The bed ( matress ) sinks. It's completely worn out. 4. The pillows are horrible. 5. The toiletries are a sham. 6. The plug points in the room are tough to negotiate. 7. The curtains worn out. 8. The wardrobe has a stench when you open it. I had booked a club room. The general feeling I got after my stay is that the management needs to really update and upgrade their facilities. The property is dying for a fresh overhaul. I hope The residency, Karur does what is needed to restore this property to its glory and give its clientele what they deserve.

A well appointed centrally air conditioned hotel complimented by a restaurant & a well stocked bar. The hotel is fully wi-fi enabled & also has a well equipped gym. Its centrally located just half km fropm Karur Railway Station and half km from interstate bus station.

Reviewed By DivyaR448Lots of mosquitos, smelly room, unclean bathroom, unclean kettle. I decided to change hotel on second day of visit so the manager upgraded me to a suite which was strictly ok and in the morning to my utter disappointment there was no hot water for bath. The shower and tap faucet comes on together. It is rated highly for food but trust me food is totally average. I understand that due to covid many hotels have suffered. But it is no excuse for such terrible upkeep of the property.

New Hotel. Clean Room and bathroom.
Reviewed By GopalakrishnanHRooms are clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are clean and having new fittings. All toiletries provided. Room has a kettle and tea/coffee/sugar sachets provided in the room. Bath room has a geyser fitted too. It is located right at the corner of the roundabout at highway going to Madurai. So, there are no good food joints nearby. Restaurant in the Hotel is not good as it is an extended pantry having a stink. But town is not far, which has many good restaurants. I will look at some other Hotel next time.
