The STar View Guest House is closed at this time. The following info may or may not be accurate when it's open again. I really cannot recommend another guesthouse in the village, but there are many fine guesthouses in Bhaktapur. We will post it if and when it is reopened. The Star View Guest House is located at the top of Changu Narayan, a peaceful, ancient temple village just 6 km outside of Bhaktapur, Nepal. The guest house has a commanding view of the entire Kathmandu Valley to one side and of the peaks of the Himalayas to the other! Our rooms are new, clean and decorated with original thangka paintings and other Nepali artwork. We also have 24-hour hot water, free internet and a wonderful rooftop patio. If you want to spend some time in Nepal away from the hustle-and-bustle, the Star View Nepal Guest House is the perfect location! Rooms: $10-25 / night Meals: Ask us about our "all-inclusive" options, including Amanda's famous pancakes for breakfast and food from a local Nepali chef for dinner!
Friendly family and good experiences
Reviewed By Annick RI booked 2 nights here and I had in my mind to sleep at cangu farmhouse however they placed me in the Starview guesthouse. I was slightly disappointed about this. The place wasn’t that very cozy and it was very cold. However, they were so friendly, and I felt their true hopsitality! Also I enjoyed the amazing Nepali food. Thanks for you for this!

Nice stay in the Eagle Nest
Reviewed By Toi_La_Tin88It was a nice stay in the Eagle Nest Hotel in Changu. The small village is peaceful and quiet. So come around if you like to stay away from noisy Kathmandu/Bhaktapur. You can dip into the local life. Small shops and a lot of lovely people are around the hotel. Also a nice temple and a beautiful sunset viewpoint are close by. The room was big, the mattress comfortable and the shower hot. The mountainview and the owners were amazing. From Changu it was quiet easy to go to Bhaktapur in around 20 minutes. Hopefully we can come back to visit you again one day! Thanks for everything :)

Brief Stay
Reviewed By Sarah SLaxmi, Shrijana, and eight year old Osin were wonderful hosts. I stayed with them for 2 nights. The food and chai were very good. They are currently doing work on their farmhouse so I stayed in their guesthouse style building nearby. My room was very nice with many windows and my private bathroom had a western style toilet which I was pleasantly surprised by. It was great to have a view of Kathmandu and the surrounding valley and to be high up above. The mountain village of Changu Narayan is more built up and populated than I had expected but it still has some old world charm which I was thankful for. I am very glad I spent time here before heading to busy Kathmandu.

Reviewed By Planet3earthThis is a beautiful resort with amazing service ! The food is also lovely and rooms along with bathrooms are very clean ! They also have cottages which are lovely ! Super nice view! We were there for a night but felt like a night was just not enough ! There is a damn nearby which is also delightful to visit !

Reviewed By grafantoninJe me suis retrouvé par hasard dans cet endroit magnifique. Compter 2h de marche depuis bodhnath ou prendre le bus depuis Kathmandu jusqu'a changu narayan. Le "nest" n'est qu'à 108 marches du temple de changu narayan. Les chambres sont grandes et propres avec salle de bain privée pour un prix vraiment raisonnable. Le gérant de l'établissement possède la changu farm house un peu plus bas à 5min. a pied où il est possible de se restaurer. La vue est incroyable et les gens d'une gentillesse immense !
