Reviewed By gailhazanOur 2nd visit here. Just as wonderful as the first visit. Food is now available instead of just at breakfast - good menu, food tasty and well presented. Situated on a hillside above the sea. The hotel is peaceful with beautifully appointed rooms. Staff ensure everything functions perfectly. In these Covid times hygiene and safety were properly maintained.

Reviewed By AmandaKarl07We have just arrived from the San Nicolo House and we can definitely say that this has been one of the best B&B that we have stayed in. The owner Gianluca has made us feel at home and once we arrived at the hotel he has given us detailed information on where to visit and a tour of the house. He is a kind and nice man who has taken very good care of us. The B&B is small but you can find all the facilities and we also had a small kitchen equipped with all the drinks free of charge including juice, soft drinks milk, water, and coffee, tea etc, The rooms were very clean and spacious. I will definitely go back there as both me and my boyfriend felt at home. Thanks Gianloca alla prossima

A true experience of Italian hospitality
Reviewed By James KMy fiance and I went to Sicily to attend her best friend's wedding. Two other couples were with us but they only stayed a few nights; we were there 6 nights. We arrived around midnight the first day and we were greeted by Mirko, the owner. Although I didnt speak Italian and his English was limited, he was so friendly and expressive that we understood most of what he was explaining to us. The next morning we woke up and were greeted by his wife, Silvana, who was even more warm and welcoming. They treated us like old friends, even though we could not speak the language. Not once did we ever feel uncomfortable there. The rooms are very clean, all the linens and towels were made up every day, and our room had access to the balcony which was perfect for relaxing during our downtime. On our last night, my fiance and I went to the market to buy some local things; wine, cheese, meats, olives, bread, dessert. When we came back we asked for a bottle opener. Mirko instead brought out tablecloth, wine glasses, opener, cheeseboard, plates, and utensils. He set everything up for us on the balcony table and we were able to relax and enjoy our last night in Sicily. Another plus was that they provided us with a ride to the airport. We paid only 20 Euros; that is how much we paid when we arrived in Milan - Linate to the city center. If I came back to Aci Catena, I would love to stay here again because it would feel like visiting old friends. They have a very sweet and friendly dog named Triss who we miss a lot too. Thank you, Mirko and Silvana for hosting us!

Really nice apartment
Reviewed By PiotrK1019Sicilian House is located in the outskirt of Aci Trezza. It can be quite easily reached by car (though I think no public transport nearby). Few hundreds meters up and down the road there are some shops and restaurants. The apartment that we rented was in detached house located in a residential complex. There are several apartments in the building, our was on the upper level. One enters a living room with a sofa, a dining table and a kitchenet with a fridge and cooker, as well as some basing cutlery and dishes. From the living room there is a door leading to a modern bathroom and another door to a bedroom with a double and a single beds (as well as with a big wardrobe and a TV). There’s also a small private terrace. The apartment is heated (the heaters were working as we were in January) and there’s also an air-condition in the bedroom. We didn’t have any problem with contact with the owners. The apartment was cleaned daily, which is not that common for such premises. To summarize the apartment fulfilled our needs and expectations, we hope to come back there one day. Few minor items can be amended for example some items can be added in the kitchen like a big sharp knife and a chopping board or an electric kettle (or at least at least a normal kettle). Also the ventilation in the bathroom could be improved. Beware also of GPS, our lead us to a wrong entrance to the complex. We may also notice that most of photos don’t show the apartment that we stayed in.
