Great food, great beer, reasonably priced too and friendly staff, this is well worth a visit.Five of us went and all enjoyed it.The mixed grill sizzler dish and Marsala fries were lovely. Several real ales and it was obvious with the ones I tasted they look after the beer.

Beautiful place and food is finger licking good. If you havenât been there then you should go and check it out. Highly highly recommend for good food, drinks and good quality time with friends & families. Excellent service, atmosphere and again FOOD is too good

We know the Alma pub pretty well but had never tried Chalo's before. We have our list of favourite restaurants but most are out of town so we thought we'd give Chalo's a try. On entry we were very impressed with the warm welcome and were shown a seat straight away. I was very impressed with the refurbishment of the room which was light and tastefully decorated. There is a good view of the kitchen area where you can see the cooks working hard. There was a comprehensive menu which offered a wide range of dishes to suit all tastes plus a children's menu.As a heat lover I chose the Garlic Chilli Chicken and my husband chose the Jalfrezi. We had a side of garlic naan, masala chips and a Chalo sauce. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the sauces were extra tasty. I have to say that I was very impressed with the whole experience. Happy to say that Chalo's is now up there on our list of favourites and, being within walking distance of home, can see us visiting again soon!Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review! We're really pleased to hear that you were impressed with our members of staff and our refurbishment. The garlic chilli chicken is a popular dish amongst most! Small restaurant/bar tucked away in a nice location in Walsall, good atmosphere. I ordered a taste pot with two sides and the portion sizes were huge! I requested the 'hot' flavour however it wasn't hot at all so next time I would try the extra hot instead. The Berry mocktail was recommended as the most popular but it was extremely sweet and I wouldn't opt for this again.

We arrived quite late on a Friday night. We were seated immediately upstairs and received perfectly attentive service. Just right.We ordered a couple of starters and then the Double Take with a portion of HUGE Portobello mushrooms. All of it was perfectly cooked and a great portion size. We couldn't finish but no problem it was bagged up for us. £55 with the drinks and well worth it. Very chilled atmosphere. Very much looking forward to returning.

Poor service, awful sirloin, full cheap oil chips, when mentioned to waitress she replied ill tell the butcher not the professional answer i was waiting for. My dad said no can you tell the chef... Still waiting for a response!!Don't think she wants to be there. Wait to long for drinks etc etc. She was not impressed with us mentioning the sirloin surely she should of been more hospitable towards. Oh sorry but a smile wouldn't go a miss. I want to be made welcone not uncomfortable
