Beautiful drive on the valley road, fantastic scenery and a stunning stone... worth a stop, a read of the info and to go for a look up close. It's an amazing achievement to have got it there (how??) 4 thousand years ago! Really peaceful place and very glad we stumbled on it.

Ardent Gallery

Ardent Gallery first opened in Brecon on the 8th of December 2004. In July 2009 we moved into this most impressive building dating back to 1589. There are 4 trading floors within the building which I can assure you keeps us all fit! We display a diverse range of artworks from both local and Welsh artists and artists from further afield. Our varied collection means there is a wide range of artwork to choose from and hopefully something for everyone. We hold a variety of exhibitions throughout the year. Ardent Gallery Open Art is definitely a highlight! A WARM WELCOME IS ALWAYS GUARANTEED and the friendly staff are always on hand to answer any questions and offer any help needed. The business comprises of 3 floors of Gallery. We also house a first class bespoke framing service on site and are able to frame virtually anything! Illy coffee is served in the coffee shop as well as a variation of teas and flavoured hot chocolate. Home made cakes by Mairwen Price. Come and see us soon!

The Boars Head

We are a small buisness and have an exeptionally situated terrace on the river front with great views of the hills above us, and have a great choice of traditional pub-grub on our menu board, also on the wet side of things, there is a great choice of cask conditioned ales and ciders so come and try one or all of them.
