It is situated in the region bordering the Constantinois and Petite Kabylie (Basse Kabylie). In 1982, Djémila became a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its unique adaptation of Roman architecture to a mountain environment. It's a business and commercial....too many people....did not work for me. Family of 5 and the wrong price. The Camel ride was fun and our guide made the trip memorable. This is not the experience we have on a daily basis. I am not sure how well these animals are treated - which made me feel uncomfortable. The Quad bikes were good - but be aware there are no sand dunes- please see Sahara desert for more authentic scenery. There were no bonfires as in the photos - there could have been, but no one lit them. There was no sun set view as we were told there would be. My wifes Henna experience was disappointing. The evening dinner was drawn out over 3.5 hours - impersonal - no host or hostess during the evening dinner - tourist trap - there was music and dancing, but was short of atmosphere. No dessert either. One more thing - on top of the high price - you pay extra for the drinks...too much. We experienced wonderful hosting elsewhere in Marrakech and had a great vacation - Marrakech and the people are lovely - but am uncomfortable recommending this part.

Ghoufi Canyon is an old historical and archaeological site located 90 km south of Batna. Composed of sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. On the banks of the river called Abiod also known as Ighzir Amellal, is an oasis with palm groves, orchards and vegetable gardens. The troglodyte homes or domesticated cave dwellings of the Ghoufi's balconies offer a history as rich as the region itself, they are scraped into a cliff and stacked like irregular sugar cubes. Their construction dates back nearly four centuries and presents an urban plan modeled on villages on each balcony in the form of buildings. You can also see hotel’s guest rooms that are in a honeycomb of cliff caves built by the French. This tour will tell you the full potential of the Guffy Canyon.
