São Luís (Brazilian Portuguese: [sɐ̃w luˈis], Saint Louis) is the capital and largest city of the Brazilian state of Maranhão. The city is located on Ilha de São Luís (Saint Louis' Island) in the Baía de São Marcos (Saint Mark's Bay), an extension of the Atlantic Ocean which forms the estuary of Pindaré, Mearim, Itapecuru and other rivers. Its coordinates are 2.53° south, 44.30° west. The city proper has a population of some 1,082,935 people (2016 IBGE estimate). The metropolitan area totals 1,605,305, ranked as the 15th largest in Brazil.

Invited with friends for a dinner in a new restaurant , I was very pleased to go there. The ambiance is pleasant and cosy. The restaurant is new and wel located . The food was delcious. The chef cuisine came to talk with us.The wine card is variable and with great choices.We were warm welcome.I recommend it!!Thank you for the compliments . Check back often.

Cozinha Massari é um restaurante localizado na Praia do Olho dâÃgua, com decoração bem descolada e descontraÃda.O ambiente é bastante aconchegante e as mesas ficam sob as árvores. A comida é muito boa mas hoje vou falar apenas do hamburger: você pode montar o seu hamburger, escolhendo o tipo de carne (blend ou picanha), o ponto da carne, o queijo (muçarela ou cheddar), cebola caramelada, molhos, pasta de alho, geleia de pimenta com abacaxi, etc.Você diz como quer e é atendido. Nem espera muito e já está saboreando um hamburger delicioso, embaladinho num papel que não passa gordura para a sua mão.No Cozinha Massari acontecem festas temáticas que também costumam bombar! O espaço tem sido utilizado por muitas pessoas que escolhem o local para comemorar casamentos e outras datas.O lugar também é perfeito para ir com crianças, porque há muito o que ver e explorar. Por exemplo, há um tanque com pirarucus enormes!O único defeito é que o hamburger só sai aos domingos...Ah, já ia esquecendo de comentar que o Cozinha Massari também serve um super café da manhã.

Cozy place, with great service. Taxi drivers are not used to taking clients to this place, I advise you tob check a map to specify the location of the restaurant. We ate seafood, it was superb. reasonable choice of wines, the chef is inspired by French and Italian cuisines, never forgetting the Brazilian origin of ingredients and the by the sea atmosphere. Call them before you go, their work hours has some limits. Save some space for dessert, maybe sharing one for two is a nice idea.

When you combine good cuisine within the respect of the ingredients and you are surrounded by a beautiful collection of naïve style paintings, time goes on with no pain!I enjoyed discussion with owner as she explained the decoration around guests, while waiting for a perfectly done choice of fish! The rice of tomato and al was just prepared and served! A detail that makes all difference. Location in quite a residential area of island of São Luis, it seems a treasure kept by them with love! The inside walls of around the garden of this private villa,have painting Painéis', by a famius Brazilian artist. In the kitchen a lover of what he does, an experienced mr Dantas who return to Maranhão after a stop over in Sao Paulo, but respects the Art of Cuisine in his field.
