A few tables in front of the restaurant, no tourists at all, just locals around.Some local specialities. Tasty fish and shrimps. Friendly staff, reasonalble prices.No annoyance from other people. When we finished our meal - not much was left over - one of the locals sitting opposite on a chair on the pavement kindly asked if he might take the rest of our meal which we were pleased to do. A very good choice for a dinner.

relaxed atmosphere. Other plates of food looked delicious, however the lobster was terrible. Covered in about a kilo of melted cheese and served with white rice. I guess we choose the wrong plate. Got roadside bbq on the way home, it was better.

I've been in shock, really in shock. If can give to this place 10 points I'll give.The place for family with children, the restaurant has huge children room, u just need to pay 20 reals and ur babe will play and didn't shack u during the dinner. There are two babe sitters which take care about children properly. And a lot of different one play places, just check my pics. The restroom is clear like in the hospital, they have everything inside. Food are tasty, we ordered different one dishes, all of them were tasty.

I had a grate surprise, because i thought That was a Meat house, but the chef'S sugestion was the codfish. And it was realy excelent.

Its is a huge restaurant with several dining-rooms. The menu is quite extensive and features an interesting array of sea food. We would recommend their prawns.The staff is extremely friendly and helpful when it comes to your selection of dishes. They even offered us the opportunity to test (and taste) a very local specialty: "arroz de cuxá". And the staff was obviously happy to give us the opportunity to discover something new for us.The prices are quite reasonable when compaared to the quality of the food...Highly recommendable place.

We were taken to this restaurant by friends from São Luis. The setting is very pleasant and during the day there must be a marvellous view of the beach and sea. The food was good but the service a bit slow. We had fish and it was excellent. By the end the waiters seemed a bit anxious for us to finish so they could close the restaurant.

Casa De Juja, this is private cafe. The native Brazilian lady made this cafe in her house, cooking specialty for guests. Guest calling to her, telling have many people will visit her, and she is cooking food. Usually the local people celebrating here B Day or another party's.The food are tasty, service is well. When you combine good cuisine within the respect of the ingredients and you are surrounded by a beautiful collection of naïve style paintings, time goes on with no pain!I enjoyed discussion with owner as she explained the decoration around guests, while waiting for a perfectly done choice of fish! The rice of tomato and al was just prepared and served! A detail that makes all difference. Location in quite a residential area of island of São Luis, it seems a treasure kept by them with love! The inside walls of around the garden of this private villa,have painting Painéis', by a famius Brazilian artist. In the kitchen a lover of what he does, an experienced mr Dantas who return to Maranhão after a stop over in Sao Paulo, but respects the Art of Cuisine in his field. Coco Bambu is probably Brazil's favorite upscale franchise. Servings at all these restaurants are huge (usually for four people). The location infrastructure is very nice though not necessarily central. I had a lunch special (which serves two people) which was a good deal, but not as tasty as I would like. Servie is usually very good at Coco Bambu and this was no different.
