Due to Covid-19 you do need to book via their website but this is easy to do. I book a week ahead to be sure of getting the slot I want. There are sessions for just lane swimming, choose between slow, medium or fast for 45 mins in the pool. There are also family fun sessions for one hour (half the pool is lane swimming - fast & medium lanes only, and half the pool for family swim). It is all clearly explained on the website. All of the sessions are a great price. The pool has been refurbished and is lovely to swim in. It's a good temperature. The staff are friendly. Swimmers are courteous of each other in terms of getting to the end and then stopping to let faster swimmers go ahead of them. It's all very clean and the team are carrying out a clean between each session. You have your temperature checked before you go in. There are changing rooms you can use after your swim and showers and toilets. You have to go beach ready but there are lockers to store your clothes in. There's plenty of room to space out whilst getting changed and walking in and out. I feel very safe. There are places to park near by and I've not had trouble finding a space. I park in a free car park just a short walk from the Lido. I am so glad the Lido re-opened and it's been a lifesaver for me!

Beccles and District Museum

Reviewed By Lilyland - Lowestoft, United Kingdom

I went here with a group of friends. There was a nice collection of items dating from Victorian times & they also had archaeological artifacts & a small number of items from the Roman, Medieval, Tudor & subsequent periods, as well as some items from the early 20th Century. The museum has a large collection of photographs covering local subjects including buildings, people, industry & activities. We found it all very fascinating. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. It was free to enter but if you wish to put a donation in the box then you can. We also bought a few souvenirs from the gift shop. There is disabled access and a disabled toilet.

some great little sheds here, we rummaged a lot in the 1st few sheds, found some real treassures at good prices, but after that we didn't find much more, it was a lot of ceramics, and I did see something I wanted, but the price was non-negotiable so had to leave it behind. I would certainly recommend a visit here as there is a lot to see, and its all very good quality.
