New Horizons Canal Boat

New Horizons is a purpose built 70ft Narrowboat. She is equiped to take people with disabilities on trips on the canal. She was launched in 1981 and is currently in her 40th year of cruising. The boat has a lift to enable people with mobility issues to enter the main cabin and a fully accessible toilet. Trips are available from April to October, morning, afternoon, all day and in the summer months during the evenings. The trip can go either towards Poynton or towards Whaley Bridge dependant on the requirements of the party or at the skippers discretion. All parties must have at least one person who has a Special Educational Need, Physical or Sensory disability, Speech Language or Communication Need any age related need, eg mobility assistance. All needs covered by the DDA including medical are covered. Our current clients include, local support groups, church groups, care homes and families. See us at Local festivals throughout the year.

Rope Race Climbing Centre is a family business and was opened in June 1993. Our climbing wall offers a unique climbing experience with our featured resin walls designed to challenge the most experienced climber and everyone will recognise our back wall as being based on Pea Pod at Curber. Located on the edge of the Peak Distict, between Stockport and Macclesfield, Manchester, Cheshire and Derbyshire. Our ply walls routes are change on a weekly basis with new and challenging routes added all the time with the added bonus of some of the UK's most technical volumes being designed and built on site. Rope Race bouldering is spread across 2 areas `The Lounge` and `The Palm Room` plus a training area with slack line and finger boards. The `Fat Badger` cafe is a fantastic addition, serving hot and cold food in a chilled environment along with our world famous`Flapjack`
