Rasdhoo (Dhivehi: ރަސްދޫ) (Rasdu in the Admiralty Charts) is an inhabited island of the Maldives. It is also the capital of the Alif Alif Atoll administrative division. It is the only inhabited island of a small natural atoll known as Rasdhoo, Rasdu or Ross Atoll located a few miles off NE Ari Atoll. As of September 2016 Rasdhoo island boasts 16 guesthouses.

Rasdhoo Dive Centre is the premier scuba diving centre on Rasdhoo Island in the Maldives. We offer PADI dive courses as well as dive tours and packages. We are the only dive centre to offer Nitrox diving on the island. We also do snorkeling tours, snorkeling gear rentals, picnic island/ sandbank trips and whale shark trips.

I booked to dive here for a few days over a short break and do not regret it. Communication with the Center, via email and phone, was quick, clear, and very helpful.
The dive team was very professional and also quite relaxed. From dive briefings to safety checks, to managing the dives, these guys did very well.
Rasdhoo is a local island, so travelers should not expect the luxuries of the 4* and 5* resort Islands... including beer! But if you want to get off the beaten track, actually meet a few Maldivians, dive in excellent waters (more below) and stay on a budget... then consider Rasdhoo and particularly this Dive Center (not to be confused with other companies with similar - but different - names).
I travel with my own equipment but saw that the rental equipment at the center is either new or recently purchased. I understand their Nitrox compressor is weeks away.
I was pleased to see liveaboards diving around the island.... that was a good sign! The dive sites did not disappoint. The reefs are healthy, and the density and diversity of the reef fishes are what you should and can expect from diving in the Maldives... Rays of all kinds were present in numbers (marble, sting, eagle... no mantas for me...) and the sharks (white tip, black tip, silver, grey) were all very impressive. We saw a few turtles too! I’m sure I’ve missed some good stuff here, but the idea being it’s worth the dive.
Connect with the dive center in advance and see about their accommodation. I stayed a great little spot steps away from the dive center, Madivaru Kro.

We are a Local Family who run the Rasdhoo Dive Club, and four guesthouses named Rasdhoo Holiday Home, Rasreef Maldives, Rasdhoo Rasbeach Inn and Rasdhoo Coralville. Our staffs are mostly from our family and are all Locals, and the Bussiness is Locally owned, and our Dive Club is mostly based on Small groups and for private Diving options with a feel of Local culture, We are Rasdhoo Divers who are skilled professional team to give you the great adventure underwater and to explore the wonders of living sea creatures or the beautiful marine life in the Maldives, Rasdhoo Atoll is a comparatively small atoll and almost always dive on the outside reef which means we have deep water (+-160m) and this attracts many pelagic species. We have different types of dive sites which vary between channels, walls, reefs and thilas. We even have three wrecks (40m, 34m and 7m long) in the atoll, the first of which we dive regularly. Drift diving with the current along the outside wall of the atoll is usually easy while channel dives can have more current and are more challenging. We work with SSI.

I had a great diving experience here! Arrived on rasdhoo and immediately planned three dives with them. Ahmed was a great instructor with an incredible amount of diving experience. Besides making sure you can make a save dive he also genuinely wants to teach you more about diving. During the dives i saw many sharks, turtles, mantaray, stingrays and lots and lots of other fish. All and all a great experience at a dive club with skilled diving staff and good equipment.

what a beautiful beach. you can swim all day and still wish there was more time in the day. you can find a quiet little beach just past main Bikini beach area and have a amazing day relaxing and working on a tan or go to main area get there early and claim a hammock strung beneath 2 beautiful pam trees .
you forget all else in life and can completely relax an unwind.
it is perfect for all people. young, old inbetween, perfect for families with young kids too.
everyone will enjoy the day.
best part is, no stores, no restaurants, no hawkers just a secluded white sandy beach to enjoy.

Staying at Rasdhoo was a wonderful experience more pronounced by my first ever scuba diving experience with Rasdhoo Scuba. The team at Rasdhoo Scuba is very nice, friendly and professional. For someone like me who doesn’t even know how to swim, experiencing the depths of sea was a big challenge but with the encouraging and friendly attitude of the whole team and especially Simon and Hafiz who accompanied me during my diving adventure, I did it! They helped me drive away my fears and enjoy the real beauty of Maldives, under the sea.
Of course, everything is possible with a good teacher!!! Thank you Simon and Hafiz for this wonderful experience… I miss you guys!

Incredible dives with bezz team now in Maldives. Rasdhoo is a lovely small island with very friendly people all around. The dive spots are really really good! Big and small stuff every where. A lot of life down there. Eneko, Diego, Mark, Clyde, Tess and the boat crew, Salam and Musa are an amazing team focusing always in you to have the best experience. Professional team always with a smile in their faces, focusing always in you to have the best experience possible. Highly recommend if you are thinking to dive in one of the best places in Maldives, for a really fair price.

Great dive excursions, we saw sharks, turtles, manta raysand ofcourse Sharkand all kind of color fish and corals... I definately recommend this dive school. Achim is a great diver/teacher and had great knowledge of all the dive spots there. He managed to keep us calm. we did not get stressed or fear at any point of our dive. security and trust was very important for us ( me and my girlfriend ) because we are not very experienced divers. We dived in very small groups 2-4 persons ( very important for us) and he always kept an eye on us. He took some really nice photos and videos with his camera. If we ever go to Maldives again (I think we will...) definately we will choose Dive Shack for our dive excursions. recommended 100% !
