this smaller park is a hidden gem. You can fish when the place isn't crowded, sun, and swim. You can walk or ride bikes on the trails. Nice day trip.

My first time there. We went bowling but they have games, laser tag and other stuff to do. The atmosphere was good and the place was clean but the snack bar was expensive and the workers were not to friendly and very slow. I recommend you eat before you go to this place.

A motorcyclist's dream, this museum has 750 vintage and modern motorcycles displayed on walls, two-tiered platforms and just about everywhere you look. The bikes are displayed randomly, rather than by date and year, adding an element of unpredictability to the viewer's experience.

My family is unfamiliar with motorcycles aside from recognizing the Harley-Davidson and Honda logos, but this place gave us (ages 7 to 69) an appreciation for motorsports in general and motorcycles specifically that we weren’t expecting. Unmistakable as well was the art of the bikes. The displays were fantastic, and the employees who gave our tour were as patient as could be with our kids and as informative as could be for our entire family.
It’s clear that Mr. Barber wanted his museum to be the Augusta National of motorsports. The building and grounds are impeccably manicured and maintained.
If you can arrange a tour ahead of your visit, you just might make it down to the basement level to see the restoration garage. The whole operation is just first class, and to be in the presence of such art, class and success makes for a really cool day.

I smoke a pipe. The pipe tobacco is not a focus of the business and therefore has little profit I assume. The pipe tobacco has not turnover resulting in it not being fresh, minimum variety and high priced.

I guess if someone had never been to another aviation museum/display this one would seem quite impressive. However, I have been to many aviation museums so this one is average at best when compared to others that I have visited. The lighting in the "early aviation" section was way too low. In fact, I could hardly read some of the information cards. At least the attendance fee was reasonable.

Our 4-5 mile walk through this pretty park took us through lush forest, past a quarry, and up to a beautiful overlook of the city of Birmingham. Signage was very good, with trails color-coded to correspond to the free map available at the visitor's center. Maintenance of the trails also was good. The visitor's center is small but has a nice spot for bird watching and some native species in terrariums and ponds to view. We liked the posters in the lobby illustrating native species of birds, reptiles, plants and animals. As a visitor, it's fun to see how different our natural worlds can be! The garden out front has potential but looked a little neglected.
