This restaurant is a no frills place that is definitely frequented by locals and people working in the area. Always busy and always plenty of work trucks in the parking lot. Our visit was for breakfast and we did not go away disappointed. We both had eggs meat, biscuits, grits, and gravy. The service was good and very friendly. Food was served hot and coffee was refilled without having to ask. We plan on going back to have BBQ and definitely want to try dessert because the menu says they are made in house.

I have always used Ricky Js. The cakes are wonderful. It was my sons 3rd bday and it was the weekend of mothers day so I waited until two weeks before the party and everyone was booked could not do it and Ricky Js stayed open late until I could get off work and come by. The lady was so friendly and she worked with me and took so much time helping me pick out the best cake. Thanks Ricky js

Ribs. Pork. Chicken. Brisket. Hell, even sausage. All BBQ has the same three basic ingredients: smoke, meat and time. What makes it different is the amount, consideration and attention to each part of that recipe. That, and some really great bbq sauce, too. At Jim ‘N Nick’s, we pride ourselves on using the right ingredients, taking our time and honoring the traditions that brought us barbecue.
Tuesday at 3:30 in the afternoon and the place was packed. The drive thru was around the building. It looked like they had fifteen people serving and another fifteen cooking. The bar was totally full. The waitress Libby was great. She was fast and easy to deal with. All our food was exceptional. We were traveling and wanted to find a good place to eat so we checked trip advisor. We most likely will not be in the Birmingham area again but if we were this is where we would eat. Their Carolina Pulled Pork was as good as I have ever had.

Let me say this first the food is excellent! BUT, I tried it this week for the first time and three things they have a deck to sit at but no restroom to use to even wash your hands. Was treated slow at counter. And girl filled my drink with nothing but ice and about five sips of coke (I like most hate when that happens) especially for a place you are getting take out from since you can not use a restroom! Drink was gone before i reached deerfoot pkwy, lol. The food was so good, I chose to give it another shot today (we stopped and used a restroom up the street and washed our hands ) same girl as last time had to explain simple kids meals and my meal four times and she had to rering it, pver and over and finally showed her the kids meal and sandwich combo not platter on the menu, lol. So they need some better help on register or some training. Food was awesome again we stayed and ate on the deck it was nice but needs to be sprayed for spiders on the brick wall. And YES all three drinks were loaded to hilt with ice but refills are free. I will return when on my way home again for take out only and tell them light ice every time as the food is worth it. Just hoping the service gets better and they build a restroom for guests!

If you want real Mexican food, this is the place to go in Birmingham. A lot of the staff don't understand English real well but getting info on the menu is not a problem. We had several different meals at our table. One was the steamed seafood which they called vapor seafood that included fish, shrimp, and octopus. Very tasty. A shrimp cocktail that was tangy. I had fried Red Snapper which was good but a little over cooked. Everyone gets Ceviche as an appetizer and it is real good. The half pineapple with the Shrimp, fish and octopus is great. The margaritas are out of this world.

The food quality is very inconsistent at Pinson location. So many times the order was completely wrong over several years period. Once ordered take out because I was sick. Was very careful and repetitive with my order. I ordered fajita chicken over house salad with quacmole . Arrived for pick up. Explained to waitress I pay a lot extra for the fajita chicken instead of plain bland chicken but I have bad vision. She checked it in front of me. Got home and they used that awful canned shredded chicken. Yuck. Went back asked 4 money back. The owner in front of people repromanded me for not checking my order first. HOW ABOUT TAKING CARE OF "YOUR BUSINESS" and making sure your cooks read the order correctly and the order taker takes the order right. SO RUDE AND ARROGANT. They lost a long time customer.

Great customer service, food always tastes good and is freshly made, it does not sit under the heat lamp waiting for a customer.. Milk shakes are outstanding.

Have ordered from here at least 4 times and have not been disappointed. I have had the whole catfish, chicken wings, livers, and gizzards. Their coleslaw is the best around and I order 2 servings for my sides. Their fried pickles are also really good. They have lots of student and senior discounts Tuesdays - Thursdays, 2pm-4pm. There are very few tables so I recommend that you call ahead and pick it up to go.

This new restaurant offers both inside dining and a drive-through. The décor and menu is basically like a fast food place but you have a choice of 24 different entrees ($7.50 - $8.50) which come with 2 sides. The sides include Egg Drop soup, Hot & Sour Soup, Egg Rolls, Steamed Rice, Fried Rice, Lo Mein, Steamed Veggies and French Fries. They have also added Chinese Donuts, Fried Dumplings, and Crab Angles to their menu. The people who operate this previously worked at one of the really good Chinese restaurants in the area and know how to prepare Chinese food. It's good value for the price and you'll enjoy the food.

Panda has some of the best Chinese food in town. I love the dish called Shrimp Mei Fun, taste wonderful.
I have even used their recipe and it turned out almost as good as their's.
Service is always helpful and friendly. I will keep going back.
