I went with a group of friends and found this to be a really interesting and fun day out. The combo ticket is good value. It includes tree top walking around the hospital and entry into the barefoot park. What’s nice about this location is that it doesn’t feel overly touristy. It wasn’t too full. The guided tours are limited to twenty people per tour, so you don’t feel like you’re being marched around in a large group. You can take your time, ask questions and appreciate the beautiful surroundings. A highlight for me was seeing how nature had taken over the impressive buildings and their structures. It’s not something you see everyday.

In the southwest of Berlin the more than 100 years old lung/tuberculosis hospital of Beelitz is a "lost place". Here you can go for a tour through the abandoned buildings or traverse the area on a treetop path built from steel. There is a tower to have great views of the landscape and a 320 m long path which gives also exciting views. On top of the ruins, also trees are growing and the whole scenery is a bizarre mixture of nature and history. The visit is possible also for disabled persons as there is a lift.
