Our tearoom sits in a field at C&C Plants a family run plant nursery, with wonderful views over the beautiful Leicestershire countryside. We offer a selection of quality loose leaf teas, freshly ground coffee and local homemade cakes. We currently stock over 10 of our own 'Old Brickyard Tea Garden' branded teas all beautifully packaged. We have 2 real live tea bushes and offer unique tea discovery, tasting events usually held on the first Monday of each month when we are open. We sell a vast array of vintage china, including teapots and tea sets. We also sell local handcrafted gifts, including pottery, paintings, Jewellery, textiles and greeting cards. Our unique location offers a haven of tranquility, a place to escape, relax and unwind. With free parking and full disabled access, we welcome everyone, including dogs. 41 Club is a UK association of ex Round Tablers. And so it was that as my penultimate monthly even as Current Chairman, I organised a trip to Belvoir Brewery for a merry band of 9 +driver. We received a friendly welcome from Colin, ably assisted by Michael (an ex pub landlord) behind the bar. Colin is clearly passionate about his business as a brewer and purveyor of great beers! After an interesting visit 'behind the scenes', coupled an informative talk by Colin on his "career in brewing', and the processes and materials involved in the craft of brewing, we retired to the lovely bar / restaurant to sample Colin's wares, and enjoy some delightful local produce as part of our" Tour Package". More beers followed before we poured ourselves on to our mini bus, for the drive home. An excellent evening out, which thoroughly recommended to beer buff. Or just take a lovely drive out for a light snack, a glass of beer, and be sure to take some bottles away with you to be enjoyed at home! "Thank you Colin and Michael" for a thoroughly enjoyable and informative evening!

I went to Ragdale Hall Spa with my two daughters. This was our first time and all the staff seem lovely! A quick tick form to fill in, a white robe is handed to each person with times for meals etc and then you are seated for a welcome drink (at this point! it would have been nice if the choice of a glass of fizz was included to make it that little bit special as it was my daughters birthday). A member of staff gave us a map and pointed us in the direction of the changing rooms. A wonderful thermal spa with different steam rooms and amongst other things an amazing rooftop jacuzzi infinity pool with views over the garden and countryside in the day, which transforms to to a romantic oasis at night.
