About Us In the 1820’s, somewhere along a patch of grass at Linkumpinch Farm near present-day Franklin, Kentucky, matters of honor were settled with the firing of pistols. A man’s reputation was restored when a musket ball found its target. The area surrounding Sandford Duncan’s Farm soon came to be known as the Dueling Grounds. These days, Franklin is home to far more agreeable activities, like the crafting of premium, small batch Bourbon, aged in charred white oak barrels, to draw out a sweet, woody flavor all its own.

My husband and I visited Brights on a Saturday, and while it was busy, it wasn't crowded. They have a good variety of antiques and collectibles available. I really appreciate that they seem to moderate the 'junk' sellers, and there isn't a lot of yard sale quality stuff clogging the aisles and booths. This place is definitely worth a stop, but be prepared to spend some time inside. The place is huge!

I took my daughter and son in law for a visit since they were visiting from out of state. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. There were a couple of rooms that we could tell something bad had happened in. The uncovered art work from prisoners was very interesting.

Octagon Hall Museum

My SIL is very interested in the supernatural and this was on our list of things to show her. One of the only Octagon Houses still standing is itself a place to see. Add the ghosts and you have a win win. We took a tour and everyone that was there felt something. The grounds are well maintained and the house is being slowly restored to its grandeur. A must see in Franklin ,KY
