We discovered this restaurant on the evening of the town's annual celebrations. And what a find. Never have I been given more personal and considered service. The couple who run this restaurant care passionately about offering simple, local and beautifully cooked food. The fava bean starter was really tasty and even the simplest vegetables were cooked to perfection. We shared a golden sea bass and it was exceptionally good. If you want simple local dishes, beautifully cooked then Go. Enjoy.

Last minute choice that left no regrets, this welcoming elegant restaurant in this quite town is indeed a surprise, we were welcome by our knowledgeable server, a gentleman sporting a bread and mustache that made him look like a British monarch from the last century. The menu interesting, the food delicious, the wine choice superb, excellent service, I had battered cod on a potato puree and a green salad.

... semplicemente servendo primi con pasta fatta a mano (metodo tradizionale). Abbiamo mangiato sia ciceri e tria che maccheroncini: sicuramente non sono prodotti industriali, ma danno quell'impressione (farina molto bianca, consistenza omogenea: non proprio 'grezzi'). Comunque molto buono l'antipasto e i condimenti dei primi piatti.

Il ristorante ha aperto quest'inverno, il titolare/chef è lo stesso di Villa Marina a San Foca (Melendugno), che quando ha chiuso ha prodotto un grandissimo dolore ed è stata una perdita per tanti. Ritornando in questo meraviglioso ristorante abbiamo ricordato subito il perché ci mancasse tanto. Abbiamo cenato in giardino, in un'atmosfera calma e tranquilla, senza alcuna fretta, con i camerieri gentili e disponibili, misurati nei modi e cortesi. Piatti illustrati alla perfezione, servizio impeccabile, pane carasau a ripetizione, posaterie e piatti di classe. Ricco il menù con grandissima scelta sia per quello che riguarda gli antipasti, i primi e i secondi. Il nostro era un obiettivo chiaro e semplice: ri-gustare la splendida aragosta alla catalana realizzata dal "dio" Carlo Sanna. Ottimi anche gli antipasti corredati da un cocktail di gamberi sopraffino. Da provare la pasta con la bottarga e quella al profumo di mare che aveva non solo l'odore straordinario delle acque salentine ma anche un sapore che non ricordavo da tempo. Tornando al motivo del contendere: se volete assaggiare la vera aragosta alla catalana questo è l'unico posto in cui gustarla. à fatta come si deve. Naturalmente deve piacere la cipolla. Buoni anche i dolci. Immancabile poi il torrone finale con il mirto, tipici della tradizione sarda, paese di origine del titolare. Andateci!

Went to this very excellent new restaurant in the small town of Minervino di Lecce. You canât go wrong ordering anything on the menu here. Worth the trip if you are staying in Otranto or anywhere near. All the fish we ordered was fresh and cooked just right: the tuna, the snapper, and salted cod. Everything was presented in a very picturesque way and tasted amazing all the way to the deconstructed tiramisu for dessert. Nice ambience and the a/c didnât hurt either. Lots of special touches, donât miss this restaurant. Bon Appetito!
