An easy walk through and unusual landscape. Most of the walk is on a raised walkway through a beautiful, peaceful ecologically sensitive area. Somewhat mystical on foggy days but always beautiful.

Marconi Wireless Station

The site of the first trans-Atlantic message, transmitted by the "Father of Radio," Guglielmo Marconi.

Reviewed By Shnoogie

Marconi Wireless Station offers a chance to see where the first wireless telegraph transmission was made. A small piece of history that took place in a beautiful spot! Although not a lot remains from Marconi's day, there is a viewing platform that offers some spectacular views and some signage that provides a bit of history. This is a great place to see seals from atop the dunes as there is another lookout in this area just down the walkway from the platform viewing station. There are some picnic tables and a restroom near the parking area. The White Cedar Swamp trail is in this area as well. Worth a quick stop if you are in the area or headed to Marconi Beach.
