We ate at this restaurant twice because the Pide here was simply amazing. The prizes are very moderate and the service was friendly. They also offer a variety of traditional local homecooked food which you should try as well.

Yemekler fena değil, biraz yağlı. Fiyat kalite dengesi ile ilgili sorun car, kişi başı doyarak kalkmak min 35-40tl. Fiyatları daha uygun olmalı ama ev yemeği için ideal mekan. Çiğ börekleri lezzetli. Ev yemeği üzerine çay bulunmaması büyük sorun. Ev baklavası görüntüsü ile tavlıyor ama lezzetli değil.

We were greeted warmly by the staff and seated at a table of our choice. The stuffed muscles were full of flavor. We ordered a plate of 20. We enjoyed this with an ice cold bottle of beer. Subsequently we ordered two orders of fried muscles, which consisted of 24 pieces of muscles. The tartar sauce is home made and the fresh bread made this a most pleasant meal. Our two boys and nephew then wanted "Adana" kebabs. I sampled a piece from their plate and I was super pleased. Our bill was about $30. Super delicious and reasonable.

My boyfriend is from Turkey so it is no surprise that he likes to drink traditional Turkish tea (Cay). Nearby the harbor in Marmara are many of these local tea houses. We chose this one because of its name (kismet can roughly be translated into fate - and believe me, it truly was some sort fate that we found this place). The location is hard to describe but I would say it is a little fisherman's cabin, maybe even a little shabby looking (meant in a positive way), but definitely charming. The Kismet Aile Cay Bahcesi is family run and absolutely fantastic. A lot of locals come here every day and so did we while we stayed in Marmara. (We came every day, sometimes twice a day to be honest.) They serve fantastic Cay and Turkish coffee and, of course, also other beverages such as Coke. The owners are very welcoming and so are the locals. Everyone was very interested in us and where we are coming from. You will find absolutely lovely and heartwarming people there, including the owners, which is a local couple. The owner lady bakes incredibly good and she does it every day, not just once, but several times a day - you can try her Simit or wonderful cookies and you will be surprised how cheap everything is and their hospitality is indescribably amazing (and so is her baking by the way). If you are lucky enough you can enjoy her baked goods while its still warm with your tea and/or coffee. A lovely place to hang out and experience local culture.
