Blackstairs Eco Trails

We give wildlife talks, wildlife photography workshops, kids nature trails and eco treasure hunts! Come and visit The Old Rectory Killedmond where we meet you and provide organic refreshments and talk about the local environment. Afterwards we'll go for a relaxing walk, low hills to no hills, and point out all the amazing flora and fauna we have. Then enjoy afternoon tea in the garden or by the fire and discuss what we've seen. Go wild in the Blackstairs!

Mary's cabins are fabulous places to stay with comfort and beauty at their hear. She runs the place with a light touch but a big heart. And her sourdough is fabulous too!

Relaxing boat trips on the river Barrow. Experience nature, history and boating life on the river. Pass through locks, canal, alongside weirs and under bridges on our tours. Hear and learn about the men and women that kept river traffic moving. All this while relaxing inches from the waterline.

Paddle Your Own Canoe

PYOC offers you the opportunity to rent canoes with associated gear and camping gear and take a multi day adventure along the beautiful Barrow river trail, south east Ireland. It is possible to paddle from 1 to 6 days between Monasterevin & New Ross,(shorter trips on a more southerly part of the river) and you may stop and set up camp anywhere you desire along the way on the bank, but we can recommend to you some of the wilder or more popular spots depending on what kind of adventure you want to have. *NEW: We now have a camp ground beside the river in the picturesque town of Graiguenamanagh with all modern facilities. We can also organize B&B or hotel accommodation if you would prefer a more luxurious experience, these are also available river side all the way. When your finished we can give you a lift back, or organize transport back to your car where you started.

I came here for afternoon tea with a friend. Could not fault it. The food was fab, the staff were really friendly and the room it’s held in is really relaxing. Will be back again.
