Thank you!!! Great weekend away with friends for a fishing trip. Paul and the Team really have got this place on the up!! Decent food, cracking breakfast and brilliant customer service!! They’ve taken a massive gamble on a Hotel in a Northern Town struggling with changing times and their perseverance will pay off!! A bit of Essex, mixed with Northern hospitality, in a Scottish town…respect….I’ll be back with the family and for many times to come!!!! You’ve got it right!!!

Great Place To Get A Scottish Breakfast At Any Time Of The Day !

Reviewed By mikewhorrall

I popped in here last Sunday afternoon after an enjoyable 2 hour walk in Lochmaben 12 miles away to take in Kirk Loch, Lochmaben Castle ruins and Castle Loch. My cousin and his wife knew it would be open all day. I was surprised to find that Scottish Breakfast was still being served so jumped at the chance to try one out even though it was 3.30 in the afternoon. The service was friendly and brisk so we didn't have long to wait to be served our drinks and then shortly after our food (they had ordered paninis with chips which they both seemed to like). My breakfast consisted of bacon, fried egg, baked beans, pancake, haggis and lorne sausage which I'd never had before (a kind of flat sausage slice). All extremely tasty and the whole meal was not particularly pricey either. So I would wholeheartedly recommend this venue if you are ever in Annan and in need of refreshment. Judging by the number of people who were checking in while we were there for around an hour, it is a popular place to stay too,

The Firth Hotel

Lovely Place

Reviewed By LesleyM1909

We were travelling to Annan for a family party and needed somewhere to stay. The Firth was recommended to us by a family member. There were 5 of us staying there and the service we received was excellent. Never got the name of the lady who welcomed us but she was lovely and showed us around and gave us our keys. You get a key to your room and one for the front door just in case it is locked when you come back. The rooms were immaculate and the beds were so comfortable, as were the pillows - I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. Breakfast was a choice of porridge, cereal or a full Scottish with fresh orange, tea and coffee. We all opted for the full Scottish and you are given a choice of what you want with it. The breakfast was delicious, we didn't have the problem of it being too greasy as others have. The coffee was amazing. One of our party hadn't made it down to breakfast on time and they offered to make him something if he wanted it even though breakfast time was over. James popped in to say good morning and ask how our stay had been. In all I would highly recommend The Firth to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay if they are in Annan.
