As a gin drinker, I have been enjoying Noteworthy gin for some time. I can’t belief I zipped by the distillery on my adventures in the south Okanagan on several occasions. Glad I finally stopped and was introduced (and purchased) some new producers. It was great to learn more about Grant Stevely and how he created this outstanding distillery. And Happy Days Gift Shop just down the street has great retro items!

What a great place! The winery itself is magnificent. Beautiful and so well kept. Well done! Our experience tasting was great! So many wines and one of the only wineries with no charge. Addition, cheese cubes between tastes as well. Our host was hilarious as well. One of our favourite stops!

Quinta Ferreira Estate Winery

Reviewed By Akuyek - Tallinn, Estonia

Unplanned, we turned into the driveway of this winery in the attempt to get a bottle of wine to give a friend before hitting the main road back to Vancouver. What a PLEASANT surprise: to be welcomed into a cool, elegant wine tasting gallery filled with classical music and art works; then the friendly wagging tails of a little dog followed by a bigger dog who seemingly offering their heads to be pet; the charge was $5 for 9 kinds of wine including a port. The port is excellent. We definitely will recommend Quinta Ferreira to our friends and will plan to visit them again on our next trip to Oliver.

Fairview Cellars Winery

Fairview Cellars is a boutique winery located on the Reed Creek alluvial Fan at the North end of the Benches of the Golden Mile. The 10 acre property located adjacent to the first green of the Fairview Mountain Golf Course was purchased by Bill Eggert in 1989 which was the culmination of a lifelong quest of Eggert’s to own and operate his own winery. After development of the water system the vineyard was started in 1993. The first commercial vintage was produced from the 1997 crop. Bill is a well known figure in the Okanagan Wine World, he is a farmer first and at Fairview Cellars the farm practices are credited as the key to making great wine. Fairview Cellars is known for some of the Okanagan’s best big bold red wines. Notable Bordeaux varietals are prevalent here with small amounts of Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Gruner Veltliner to round out the portfolio.

This was our last stop on our wine tour and would 10/10 recommend. Both staff and guests were well protected during the tasting with safety precautions in place. The bread pairings were the best part! Wine was great, some of my favourites . Make sure to go first if you want to guarantee buying a loaf to take home!! Staff were very friendly and efficient. Add this to your wine touring stops, it won’t disappoint :)
