Beccles (/ˈbɛkəlz/ BEK-əlz) is a market town and civil parish in the Waveney District of the English county of Suffolk. The town is shown on the milestone as 109 miles (175 km) from London via the A145 and A12 roads, 98 miles (158 km) northeast of London as the crow flies, 16 miles (26 km) southeast of Norwich, and 33 miles (53 km) north northeast of the county town of Ipswich. Nearby towns include Lowestoft to the east and Great Yarmouth to the northeast. The town lies on the River Waveney on the edge of The Broads National Park.

Didnât enjoy at all poor quality enjoy a kebab shop much more . Chewy meat poor sauces nothing I had that I enjoyed arrogant staff we will never return Young staff should be respected as well poor run restaurant. Nothing good to say about it couldnât wait to leave

Used to come here a lot but then we had children so eating somewhere special like this is now a rare occasion. Visited one Thursday evening and the restaurant was surprisingly busy. Ambience same as before - cosy and pleasant. Service, as before, excellent. We shared a platter to start which was very good. I then had a pizza (couldnât resist!) and I have to say it was proper Italian style. Havenât had a pizza this good ever in this country. You can tell the chef is a true Italian! My husband had a dish off the ala cartel menu which was also excellent. A nice choice on the menu all round. We had an Italian white wine which was also delicious. Recommend 100% and itâs well worth the slight drive. Cannot wait to go back again ASAP and may even take the children as Gail is so welcoming and accommodating. A visit here is a MUST!!!

This is my local when visiting my in-laws & they are passionate about & have a great selection real ales, they also hold great beer festivals through the year. On this occasion we were celebrating the diamond anniversary of my in-laws & they could not have done more for us. A fantastic family meal in a specially decorated room big enough to allow friends to join us later for afternoon drinks & sandwiches. We could not have asked for more. The staff were awesome & worked tirelessly to give us a perfect afternoon. Food was outstanding.

Arrived in Beccles by boat and looked for a dog friendly pub/restaurant found the Wine Vaults. Fantastic meal and top class service they even provided glasses for my partner who had forgotten hers. The belly pork and lamb dishes were delightful and the best place we have eaten on the South Broads this week thank you

I have previously given an excellent review for this restaurant and have been numerous times in between. The latest visit was very disappointing. Poor service and undercooked fish. Menu item refunded but Iâd rather a good meal than a free one. Menu would benefit from more regular changes, as they used to, and less burgers. It was our number one go to special meal out. Sad to say it no longer will be.

This is a lovely cosy restaurant. The staff is very friendly and polite, and made us feel very welcome. The food is delicious and service is fast. We also liked the decor, and our sone loved seeing the cook making his pizza. Highly recommended.
