Post Covid Perfection

We used to come to Tenuta Primero back when it was a Camping, and stopped going since our family grew and we were no longer attracted to that type of holiday. We recently found out that Tenuta Primero was being completely refurbished into a hotel/resort, and so, as soon as it was possible we gave it a shot. We couldn't believe our eyes. The idea to spread only 135 individual cottages and bungalows over such an enormous area, made us feel safe and special, as all services offered are now in line with the standars of international luxury chains. We were given free bicycles in order to move around the resort, which we explored in every corner. The proximity to the lagoon and to the national park led us to extraordindary encounters: swans, flamingos, falcons and all sorts of avionic species. The breakfast has breathtaking views over the Gulf of Triest, and is of a very high standard. At night the Restaurant, with the same views, offers an awesome selection of dishes, whcih are beautifully prepared. The bistrot at the pool was the highlight for our kids. They loved eating their spaghetti vongole in their bathing suits, despite the weather was not too generous with us. The beach was perfect for morning walks. We even had a golf class, but I guess that we need several more before hitting that ball ;) The concierge service was absolutely lovely and organized our daily visits to various sites, including the Venica&Venica Vineyard, and a helicopter tour of the lagoon. All Covid measures were taken very seriously and we felt safe at all times, also thanks to the fact that the resort is mostly "outdoors". We will definitely come again, and recommend this hidden gem to anyone who wants to switch off for some time and recharge batteries. Oh yes, little advise, bring mosquito spray. Being in the lagoon comes with its benefits but also with its "inhabitants". KUDOS to the whole Tenuta Primero Team. We will be back!

This was our 4th visit here with the family. Lovely place with beautiful beach and a lot of things to do in the Camping! All the people were cared about everything to avoid the COVID infection, hand sanitizers are aviable all the places. There can be a bit more possibilities to eat and they could also give some more discount from the reservation if you are coming back after two or three times. But the place is still great. See you next year!

Hidden treasure

Google maps took us to this campsite after a 9 hour drive from Austria and glad it did. It was pouring when we got there but check was quick and simple, we chose our pitch, parked up the motorhome, connected the electric then went to the bar for food and drink. Limited options and all frozen, but they tell you that and both our meals were good and served with plenty of bread. The young man who checked us in and served us in the bar was extremely helpful and friendly. Next morning the sun was out and we could see the lake, absolutely stunning. Would definitely return if we were in that part of Italy again.

First off all, the bungalow we stayed in was so dirty and we had to clean the bathroom before we even wanted to shower in there. The next big issue; only one card for the place and when you leave the bungalow it turn off all electricity including the refrigerator! This is not OK, a refrigerator full off food we had to trough out.. why don't have a age limit for the kids pool? Our son at the age off 4 could not be safe in the pool because off grown ups and big kids being to violent at the pool. We spoked with more parents at the pool and they didn't understand not choosing to have a age limit. We will definitely not come back and no good words for our surroundings for thos place.

Don't expect too much

Pretty cramped place, pretty small camp sites, as many people as there are mosquitos, only two toilette and shower areas. To get into the sea you need to walk through quite some mud first, get on the wooden pier and then fell the sea grass on your feet while swimming. Still, it is not as busy as the beach downtown, for a reason I guess. If you do not need more it is an alternative.
