Great guesthouse stay

Reviewed By 808sew

Five of us stayed for a night in three of the rooms with shared bathrooms, for a mini-reunion and to see Sister Sledge at Dreamland. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and decorated so creatively, and the shared bathrooms were spotless. Tracey and Colin were friendly and chatty and couldn't have done more for us during our stay. I particularly appreciated the additional provisions made for my 'health' issue, I would have really struggled otherwise. Breakfast tasted great and was booked in advance. Parking is plentiful and free. The location is central - we walked to and from the town centre multiple times and the sea is even closer! We had a lovely time here and next time I'm in Margate I look forward to returning.

We stayed at the Albion Rooms on the night of our wedding (got married in Dreamland) and it was perfect. Our guests filled the hotel for 2 nights and each and every one of them were in love with the rooms but also the service. The staff at the Albion Rooms are amazing. Everyone we interacted with were so helpful, friendly, fun and dedicated to making sure the trip was the best ever. The attention to detail at the hotel is brilliant, the decor - divine. Essentially it’s ? with the visit - you won’t want to leave.

Great Pub/hotel

Reviewed By RonnieM250

We recently spent a week at The Hussar whilst working in the area, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This is a family owned and run pub/hotel with good food and beer, friendly and welcoming staff, customers and the owners couldn't do enough for us. The food is really good with the Thai food an absolute treat. Live music is an unexpected bonus. Our room was clean and comfortable, free WiFi is good and easily accessible. Thanks you and best wishes for the future

Crossing the pond to al ittle known destination was never so pleasant

I was traveling solo and happened upon this idea to head from london to the east coast. Some people recommeded Kent. So I found me a map of the region and settled on Margate. I did a search for accommodations and found this gem. I"m not the most out going type and a bit reserved when I'm around strangers. Wendy was an exceptional hostess. She was always the brightest light of the day... making sure all needs were taken care of from linens, to food, to advice on where to visit. It really was a great secret ... the city of margate is filled with the most down to earth people... .I enjoyed walking amongst the cliffs and the sea... and it was interesting to see the tide go out and all the boats in the port just lie in the sediment waiting to be given life again by the high tide. Once again i highly recommend staying here. Enjoy your adventure.
