Museum Im Zeughaus

Reviewed By youngpapaya - Lohne (Oldenburg), Germany

For two days every year the museum, with its castle and moat, hosts an authentic middle ages spectacle. This year it was on 23rd and 24th September. There is jousting, there are hundreds of people strolling around in the clothes of medieval times and lots of little shops sell handcrafts and other somewhst unusual but attractive items. There are performers going round with a hat after their act. Not to mention the food. The bad news? Today's prices! Free entry but you are encouraged to make a donation. The museum building itself is worth a visit, too, and is open at specific times during the year. Check out [email protected] This was my second visit and the place was alive with people of all ages.

St. Laurentius Pfarrkirche

Reviewed By Stefan A - Georgsdorf, Germany

Industriemuseum Lohne

Reviewed By youngpapaya - Lohne (Oldenburg), Germany

Lohne's Industrialmuseum is definitely a must-visit place not only for residents but also for guests to the town. There is so much to see and do. Every age group will discover something. So much loving care has clearly gone into the various exhibits. A knowledge of German is necessary. A nice shop at the end as well as a cafe. A visit to Lohne should definitely include this place, situated across from the station.

Tapas & Co.

Reviewed By youngpapaya - Lohne (Oldenburg), Germany

This is a young-at-heart eating place. Service is good and the food is super. Shame it doesn't open until the evening, though. Ideal place for a friends'get together. Can get noisy but that adds to the atmosphere. Try different dishes-you won't be disappointed.
