Very friendly and communicative staff of SCT and we had a very good guide (Noel). We did the 6 hour trip for 30 USD per person. We loved the trip, hiking, wandering, swimming, enjoying. Though other guides might be cheaper we decided to go for a professional and well known option just in case something would happen during the tour. The guide give lots of details about plants, animals, history and was very careful with our movements. We had lunch at the end of the tour which did not really like. We ordered fried chicken and got a la plancha, tables with lots of flies. During the trip we got a banana and some cookies. Could provide something salty as well for this price. Overall, a recommended experience and a few things to improve.

This isn't an excursion I'd recommend for just anyone. You have to be able to swim well in cold water and you have to be sure footed. It can be a little dangerous, but it's a truly beautiful place. We did take some tubes and got to float along the river, which was an added bonus. It's very out of the way from Somoto, so if you're visiting with a small group, you'll probably have the whole canyon to yourself.

It's a very nice place to hang out with your friends. There's a couple of food trucks right next to it. There's usually some jewelry or clothing vendors near by. If you are meeting with a group of people, it's a good central meeting point. It's very picturesque, and quiet. I recommend checking it out.

The experience of the canyon is worth seeing, Nicaragua offers different and varied activities. A heart stroke

For adrenaline lovers there are beautiful jumps over 12 meters
