Bagong Mountain

Which indeed I am. To fully appreciate this attraction requires walking and climbing stairs and hills. Yes you can pay to drive your car around or take an electric guided bus tour but you will steel need legs of steel and the constitution of an ox, of which I have only the latter.
The place possesses an impressive mountain-top temple which sadly, because of the air pollution, failed to provide what could be a breathtaking photograph on the road up the hills. Once inside there are numerous statues of legendary persons but you need a local friend to explain the myths behind each one as the legends are engraved only in Chinese.
A good place to visit and one at which you would do well to remember which way you came because it is easy to lose one's bearings. .

Piano House

Think of an unusual idea for a building. How about a 3 storey high grand piano accompanied by a transparent violin containing the staircase?
Apparently it's the best background in Huainan for wedding photos with a lake and park beside.
You won't stay to long but your first sight of the piano will be a stunner, then you'll see the clear violin. It's all a sight for sore eyes that Huainan sometimes produces, but it's certainly not an eyesore.
Surprised there wasn't some piano music or the popular in China Richard Clayderman happening. Hmmm actually China is noisy enough.
Take a taxi, they all know it. Not much around maybe an ice cream and drink stall, Good place for a picnic. Walk down the lane to the main road and easily get a taxi back to the city.

Shangyao Forest Park

This hike isn't difficult and great for families with young kids. In the park, there are some leisure areas where adults can exercise or kids can catch fish.
At the entry way is the Fourth Army Cultural Museum with different relics from when the Chinese fought off Japanese invaders. I believe this parks name is synonymous with New Fourth Army Memorial Forest.
There are several temples near one of the peaks and on a clear day the view is amazing! However, spring is the time most schools will take outings here, so it can get quite crowded.

Luohe Town

Reviewed By KitCrisp - Beijing, China

We spent around an hour looking and could find a single person who had seen or heard of the the place in Luohe. I speak Chinese and all anyone recommended was another mountain a few miles away. The place was also conspicuously flat so we really couldn't find anywhere that would have a Buddha that big carved on it.
This one needs more investigation before going....
