Ancient Technology Centre

There are lots of events held here including music evenings and story telling in the big halls which have been built out of wood, straw and brush along the old ways. During the day time there are often activities for school groups to learn ancient crafts and history. This is a little gem with something for everyone. Some of the events have food and drink available.

Knowlton Church and Earthworks

Reviewed By Emishere13 - Gainesville, United States

A delightfully enigmatic site that shows the combination of the old religions and the new. It's a perfect place to relax or meditate due to its calming atmosphere. Be sure not to miss the nearby trees near the rear right side of the church. Inside this green thicket is a wishing tree, where you can leave a ribbon or trinket, if you choose. Parking is limited to 2-3 cars close to the site. Well worth a visit. Highly recommended!

The grounds of the Manor are only open on a Wednesday afternoon but the house is still occupied so there is no entry to the manor but the outside can be walked around. I go there often and love the grounds. It is accessed through the Cranborne Garden Centre which is another little gem with a lovely cafe doing home made fayre
