I was impressed by the beautiful Balcik Palace estate. It’s very relaxing to walk in the botanical garden and admire the sea from above. If you’re in the area don’t hesitate to visit and check out Queen Marie’s favorite summer residence.

Cape Kaliakra

Stopped here for 90 mins as part of a coach trip. Scenery is dramatic & beautiful with stunning views of the Bulgarian coast. We walked to the end of the Cape & popped into the small museum. A small room, but very informative on the history. There is a small chapel in the rocks. This is a photographers paradise for scenery & nature. Well worth the trip.

Words cannot describe the professionalism and sincerity of the crew at Experience Bulgaria - ladies at desk and captain worked an extra hour to provide a sunset tour for me and my friends. Go for the great views and amazing service. I wholeheartedly recommend you do your boat tour with this company.

Balchik Palace

Reviewed By mateimmm - Bucharest, Romania

Balchik Palace is really not a palace, but a wonderful retreat estate built on the beach at Black Sea. The Villa and surrounding gardens full of beautiful flower, cacti and succulents species belinged to Queen Maria of Romania, back in the days when this area was part of bigger Romania (The Cadrilater region). The palace/villa is not as big as one would expect (only has several rooms) but the surroundings are beautiful. It also has a private Winery where you can buy hand made limited edition artisan wines with very interesting flavours (fig, rose, berries, etc) that can only be found here at the Queen’s Winery.
