Go from the 13th century to the 21st in one day in Naha. Its ancient Ryukyu Kingdom centerpiece, Shuri Castle, has been restored and is the city's top tourist attraction. Meanwhile, on Kokusai-dori (International Boulevard), the pace never lets up as locals and tourists hop from restaurants to bars to nightclubs.

Extremely exciting and a must have experience when you visit Japan. Just imagine yourself on a custom made go kart specifically tailored to realize the Real Life Super Hero Go-Karting experience! Street Kart is in no way a reflection of Nintendo, the game 'Mario Kart'.(We do not provide rental of costumes of Mario Series.) Dress up in your favorite character costume, playing the music of your choice and driving through the city of Okinawa. All eyes on you guarantee! You can ride with a group or ride privately, Street Kart is fully equipped to make your experience a very important one. This place is near Shuri Castle. You can google for the exact location as it is situated in a quiet residential area - i think. One will be shown how to use the paints and the corals (they come in various size and shapes) to do printing on textiles. The cost of this covers the materials including the T-shirt, table cloth, etc. You can spend all the time in this air-conditioned place and finished your "artwork".

This is one special place for me because it is the entrance to the Castle. It is one of the better kept Torii gates on the Island and maybe even in all of Japan (and around Hong Kong). it is always very busy with visitors trying to get photos here. It took me about 15 minutes to get 3 good pictures without anybody else in it! This gate was much simplier when I first saw it back in the 1960's and when I came back in the 1980's It had been worked on and painted to almost what is in the picture above. When I visited in 2002 it looked like the above picture, but many more people around it! Great place to visit while they rebuild the Castle.
