The Fresh Bean Cafe is located 3 kms further from Kottegahara as you drive up the Charmadi ghat from Mangalore/Dharmasthala direction.
Located beside the Petrol Station, the Cafe has a ramp access and one of the cleanest washrooms when motoring within southern India.
There is a limited selection of snacks, sandwiches and typical Indo-Chinese fare (read noodles, fried rice etc) besides rejuvenating coffee and tea. You can also purchase freshly ground and packed coffee sourced from the plantation nearby.

Had been here in the last week of Oct-16 en-route Udupi. It's just after Belur, one of a very few family restaurants available on the stretch. A very neat and clean place, the restrooms are maintained well too.
The food is good and very cheap when compared to the same food bought here in Bangalore. Don't miss the Dosa's when here. Ample parking space available. The staff is very friendly.

We were just cruising through and halted at this place. It has ample parking.
We ordered Neer dose and Akki roti. Akki roti is prepared differently here (Malnad style) and it was delicious. Neer dose was good too. The owner happened to have worked in Blore for a long time and opened this cafe 6 months back.
