You might have seen properties as beautiful as RiverMist, but the hospitality and the kind of service the staff gave here is unmatched. They were prompt with every request with a smile on their face and happy to assist always. This place exuded a positive aura like no other place we have visited till now. Worth a visit and will definitely visit again. Special shout-out to all the staff members from front office to housekeeping for a brilliant service

Gowdahalli Forest Homestay is located between Sakleshpur and Chikmagalur. It is a cottage accommodation in midst of a scenic coffee estate. The cottage has two bedrooms each room with two queen size beds and an attached washroom. Reviewed By bryanl19601Our stay at Gowdahalli Forest from 04 Nov to 07 Nov., 2021 was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay, away from the hectic life, noise and pollution of Bangalore city. The ambience is superb. It is a nature lover’s paradise. There are 2 cottages consisting of 2 separate rooms with attached toilets which can accommodate 5 people per room. The room and toilet was neat and clean. The scenery is superb with fields, coffee plantations, forests with streams running through them and small ponds in the fields with fish in them. Hills can be seen in the distance. Peacocks and Peahens can be seen and heard all day and night. The air is clean and pure and one does not feel tired even after long walks through the plantation trails with its hilly terrain. Dilip the caretaker was very kind and always went out of his was to see that his guests were comfortable and got what they asked for. He is also an unofficial guide and knows the area and places to see inside out. One can request him to arrange short treks or outings into the surrounding areas and he is ever ready to oblige. Mr. Harish the owner was on-hand to oversee all was well with his guests. The food was homely and tasty. One can order extra dishes (at extra cost) and it would be cooked. We ordered Mutton and Pork and both dishes were very tasty. They can also prepare fish on request. One has to carry their own snacks, water, Booze, etc. Small shops are located some distance away and one has to drive to get there. Housekeeping was carried out every day or on request. The only internet networks functioning there is JIO and BSNL. The JIO signal too is weak at times but is okay near the owner’s house about 100 meters away. My daughter could continue her online classes in front of his house. From our first contact with Gowdahalli forest, we were given very clear instructions and guided extremely well by M/s. Meghana. Prior to our departure, she would listen patiently to any queries we had and would promptly clarify and assure us that there was nothing to worry about. Mr. Jeevan too would also follow up with us to make sure that all was going well and smooth. All in all we had a wonderful and enjoyable stay there. Typical plantation life for all those who enjoy what nature has to offer. Our little pet Miniature Pinscher too had a great time running around in the fields and plantations and playing in the streams.

Reviewed By mitram1110Great views, eco living and warm host. Food was good. Overall worth money. Friendly dogs a bonus. Connectivity can be patchy depending on your service provider. Drive from bangalore can take 5+ hours since the approach is via some narrow roads so be prepared mentally.

The Value for money is very good and the hospitality is priceless. The food, parking, space surrounding nature etc all are top class. The rooms are excellent and one can not ask anything more. Hosts are very courteous and the Veg. food provided by them is best. Coffee provided by them of Very good quality. I wish them all the best for more business.

Awesome place for groups and families
Reviewed By UlhasB9The resort is on top of the hill with a wonderful view across 360'. We went there as a team of 4 boys (men ? ?). The rooms are really spacious, luxurious and yet makes you feel homely. One side of the room is covered completely with glass and gives you the complete visibility of the nature outside. The rooms (I think the whole resort) is constructed with a theme of no-neighbours concept. About the food, I must say, I haven't had better fish ever! It was so yummy and fresh. The entire team including the top management is very helpful and they treat you a like a king. Every small request is treated with utmost care. Thanks to everyone, every staff member and the management for making our stay comfortable and memorable. Next time, decided to visit with family.

The coffee estate surrounding the homestay looks heavenly. The homestay owners were so friendly and were very caring.They shared lot of their personal experiences and made us feel at home. I would definitely like to visit this homestay again along with my family

This is away from the main road, without any traffic sound, a peaceful property in midst of coffee plantation, with abundant greenery. check in was very smooth, with Mrs. Sheetal & Mr. Bharat receiving the customer's & overseeing the travelers needs. The rooms are very spacious, cosy beds, the view from the balcony is awesome, they have a big parking place, Food - Breakfast, dinner served here is very tasty with local cuisine, plenty of in & around sight seeing places near by, good trekking places, this is a home away from home. If you are lucky, you can sight plenty of peacocks, There is a small river passing in their property. They also offer you cycles for people who are interested in cycling. This is a safe place with Camera surveillance in public areas. I would definitely recommend this place for families.
