Ein Mabua

Reviewed By IgalC - Kfar Adumim, Palestinian Territories

I leave nearby. I go there twice a month. Hiking, Accompanying group of friends or tourists. It ia a part of the marvellous oasis of Nahal Prat (Kelt). Sometimes it is too crowded so it is recommended to make a hike to the west towards Kfar Adumim or east to "Ein Kelt" sppring. Follow the water and the the signs on the rocks. The building is the old pumping station. You can find there rangers of the Israeli Parks authority

Euthymius Monastery

The remains of the monastery tell the story of Judean Desert monasticism during the Byzantine period. The expansive monastery includes the entrance gate, crypt, monastic cells, church, inn and waterways. We recommend visiting the covered observation point, located by the mosaic floor decorated with geometric patterns, and you’ll be rewarded with a panoramic view of the Judean Desert mountains. The park has a huge water reservoir that served the inhabitants of the area through the various periods. There are stairs going down to the bottom – a highly recommended experience!

Mount Gerizim Site (Mount of Blessing)

Mount Gerizim covers an area of a hundred acres and contains the remains of the Hellenistic city and Byzantine church compound. The tour lasts about an hour and a half to two hours. The site also includes a museum, church, Passover sacrificial site and a tahini paste factory. We recommend combining your tour with a preliminary tour of the Samaritan neighborhood. For opening hours, please visit our website.

This site is administered by the Israel National Parks association. It has parking, restrooms and a small gift shop. There is an entrance fee and a video presentation. Beautiful views from the top of the mountain which is one of the highest peaks in this area. Tells the story of the Samaritan people to whom this mountain is considered holy. We pass through the Samaritain neighborhood to reach this site. In the neighborhood there is a museum and other attractions nearby. Very worthy of a visit.
