if you like sushi go to Fuji... it's a restaurant group.. you find them anywhere in Thailand. Quality is good, but quite expensive for what you get.. service is as in all this kind of restaurant.. nothing special.. same for the interior of the restaurant...but if you don't know where you go.. try the sushi..

Daisuki Japanese Restaurant

Daisuki is a medium size Japanese restaurant situated on Yommaraj road. There are several good restaurants located around the side of this road. There are two types of tables for you to choose for, conventional and Japanese. I got impressed with the wide selection of import and domestic beers. My favorite dishes were "Koebi kara age" deep fried small prawn and "Maguro sashimi" raw slice tuna. Food were fresh and testy. Price was lower when compared to others. There was not Service charge included in the bill. Service was good. Menu got a lot of pictures for non thai speaker to choose from. Operating time were 11:00-14:00 and 17:00-22:30 and close on Monday. Got Air condition but not Free WIFI. I'll return for sure.

Ootoya - The Mall Nakhonratchasima

This restaurant is located on the 1st floor of the Mall Korat. Most of the food in the menu is the set menu (Bento) which served of stream rice, a bowl of soup, small portion of salad and the main entree that you ordered. I ordered grill chicken ball which is the mixture of chopping chicken meat and the soft chicken bone. There are served with soft-boiled egg and Japaneses source. The way to eat this is to mix chicken ball with steamed rice with soft-boiled egg and Japaneses source. Sound complicated, isn't it? But it is really good. The place also offerred with free all you can drink green tea. Definitely I will return to this restaurant.

Anego

This restaurant owned by thai but offer the genuine Japaneses food. The place is not big and customer are both local and Japaneses who worked around Korat area. The highlight of this restaurant is not on the draw fish but in the hot kitchen. There are a full menu of various Japanese dish which I haven't try before. Some good, some ok and some that I don't like. A key is a lot to choose from. The price is slightly higher than local Japaneses baseline in Korat but I think it worth. The service is also pretty good as well.

Well, the place was packed. There was literally a food frenzy as patrons quaffed tray after tray of food items selected from the counters. What was the fuss? Volume. Not quality or taste but volume. That is, how much can I fit in and how many return trips can l make without slipping on the tile floor littered with discarded spinach,, etc. without breaking a leg. On top of that, the place is showing its age e.g. the overhead air con leaking in front of the Japanese rolls, run down toilets, cracked plaster sheeting and broken/missing light fittings. Obviously, the owners are doing well but l certainly wouldn't be back. At 199 baht, those without taste buds, bottomless pits as stomachs and an interest in low quality food will love it. Maybe l'm wrong, but l care about what l eat and this place just isn't worth the effort of finding a parking space.
