Stop here. You have come far enough. Do not be tempted by the excitement of the unknown. This is literally the only restaurant worth trying in Esztergom. Lovely setting under the basilica and phenomenal food. A true standout in a town otherwise serving bland roadside campground fare. So make that trek up the hill and treat yourself to their deliciously balanced rosé when you get there.

The pictures along the other reviews tell the whole story about this place. Decent food, and lots of it! Still not really great value for money, since the dishes are somewhat expensive for a small Slovak city. Some allergy information is different on the English and Slovak menus, so ask for both if you need that!
We had walked across the bridge from Ezstergom (Hungary) to Sturovo(Slovakia) and said we would have lunch there , most places we saw were Burger and kebab menus in this nice little border town but one of our group had spotted "Sir Percival" down a small alley . We thought that it was interesting and went in , the restaurant has a medieval English theme and is full of artefacts that fit ,it also has tables, chairs and benches (including a Round Table ) . The plates and drinking vessels were all in keeping (stone chalices etc) and the toilets were wooden thrones , I know this all sounds bizarre , it was !! but very well done and good fun . We all ate from the highly descriptive menu , also in character , some descriptions are quite funny . Our group of seven all enjoyed the meal , well cooked and sensible portions and it made for a nice lunch . The drinks were reasonably priced ,Slovakian beer (very nice ) as was my Slovakian red wine . Our bill came to about 11 euros each , ok for lunch and we crossed the bridge back to Hungary in goode spirits all agreeing that we would never forget the "Sir Percival" and our delightful serving wench who coped well with our "Englishe" ps :the restaurant has a good website with pictures and menus , worth a look even if you never there...
Good value for money, nice environment close to the city center. If you want to eat cheap, it's a place I recommend. Wide ranges of food and the portions are good also
