if you are anywhere near by âDonât miss this GEM of a dining and culinary experience. We have the great opportunity to travel quite a bit â this just jumped to our number one culinary/ dining experience. We were staying in Florence and took a brief car trip south to tour the area. Itâs off the beaten path but google maps got us there. The Inn fits right into a picture postcard. The service is very friendly and attentive. The food is just EXCEPTIONAL. The chef (Guido) can over to our table and he mirrors the engaging atmosphere of the Inn We were 2 couples and we all had different dishes - all were great. Skip the âstarredâ restaurants in Florence and find/ enjoy this experience. Despite it being a Thursday night in July there weren't many other people in the restaurant, which is crazy given the standard of the food and the prices. We opted for the 7 course tasting menu at â¬55 which, given the prices we paid in other restaurants in Siena and other Italian cities, is pretty good value. As for the food, the Tuscan-Asian fusion worked for us and the portion size just right to get us through 7 courses without feeling as though we'd overeaten. Favourite dishes were the amuse-bouche, which perfectly set the scene; shrimp tartar with tartar sauce and saffron-puffed rice; and seared tuna with sesame sauce and seaweed salad. A really friendly place that deserves to be packed every night.Dear Jack, thanks so much for your nice words. We are very pleased to know that you enjoyed your dinner with us! Each dish we tried offered a creative approach to preparation, but the overall results were only average to good, nothing excellent. There are other places in town where one can get equal or better flavors at less than half the price.I can only think that the top reviews given by others were driven by their need to assign high marks to a meal that was expensive.
