Great Experience

Had a fantastic holiday, resort had everything you could want. Gardens and public areas immaculate, room very comfortable modern and clean. Bar and Restaurant staff were excellent, thanks to the central bar team, who were very helpful and always smiling. Animation team worked endless hours, very professional. Even though the hotel is aimed at Italian and French speakers, 95% of the staff were more than happy to speak a little English, only issue was the excursions were only available in French or the Italian and therefore we didn't get to see much of wonderful Sicily on this trip. Special thanks to Antoinella (central bar) Raul and Max (animation and tennis coach) and Julia from reception who took time to explain how everything worked. Two points to consider, restaurant was a bit hectic, would benefit from allocating the same table at all meal times especially with the current Covid situation. Checkin could be better and time taken to explain the resort/map/facilities. Great value for money, would love to return in 2022.

The hotel is on an perfect location with view on the ocean. very kind manager (nico) who helps where he can and make very nice dinners, Very pitty that all is old and outdated. Owner should renovate specialy the bathrooms. Seems all slowly falls apart what is so pitty for this great historical place.

La Manna Di Zabbra

The organic Agriturismo 'La Manna di Zabbra' is situated in a part of the Madonie National Park, which is one of the most beautiful natural parks in Italy. Our property of 14 hectares is about 15 minutes away from the beach (Valtur). Into the month of March you can view the snow-capped peaks of the highest mountains of the Madonie (skiing area). In a mere 20 minutes you can reach the idyllic town of Cefalu, while the stunning and multicultural capital Palermo is an hour's drive away. The Trattoria is surrounded by olive trees, orange-, tangerine-, and lemon trees and many kinds of fruit trees. Above the Trattoria you will find a little lake with perch and waterfowls. The landscape is characterized by ash trees, which in the months of July and August are producing a precious product, the manna. The manna, along with our special cuisine, is the soul of our Azienda and gave our farm its name. The vegetable production takes place right in front of the Trattoria. You can see where the food that we serve was grown! As a natural product the precious manna in 2002 was included in the list of the Slow Food Presidium. We appreciate the ethics of the Slow Food Presidium and implement them.

A hidden gem in the Madonie Mountains

Words cannot capture the allure of La Manna di Zabbra. On a recent drive to the Madonie Mountains from our annual vacation spot in Cefalu, my mother and I stumbled upon this agriturismo just around lunchtime. Hungry and curious, we inquired with a sweet woman busy whirling around in the kitchen. She invited us to be her guest on the patio out front, which holds magnificent views of the farm property and the gorgeous Madonie Mountains in the distance. She proceeded to create an epic 10-course lunch for us, featuring freshly made cheese, zucchini three ways, delicious sausage, fresh pasta, and more. Valerio, the farm owner and proprietor of this agriturismo, was as kind as he was knowledgable. As he served our meal, he explained the production and locality of each ingredient involved, including the manna grown right across the street that was served as the cherry on top at the conclusion of our gastronomic journey. Whether you are looking to connect with Sicily’s inextricable agrarian identity or just to enjoy the most magnificent lunch prepared from farm-to-table, you absolutely must visit Valerio at La Manna di Zabbra on your next trip to the north of Sicily.
