If you ever have the opportunity to visit the breathtaking ski town of Val Gardena, make sure to stop in and visit the exceptional staff at Cianel. Fantastic food and excellent service makes Cianel my favourite restaurant in all of Italy. I highly recommend trying to burger, however every meal I saw pass by my table looked excellent. Can't say enough about this beautiful restaurant nestled in the spectacular mountains in northern Italy. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone back home looking for a true northern Italian experience!!!!

We made a reservation 2 nights ahead of time. We arrive and our table is a table for four right beside the front door. My husband immediately asked do you have something else. After an exchange and a reluctance, the head waitress put us at a high table for two. As a result, we got very poor service. It was quite obvious they were u happy with us. The menu was limited. Good selection of beef. The waitress took no time explaining what came with the main course. It has the potential to be a very romantic spot. The fish was excellent. Presentation was impressive. There was a hierarchy amongst the wait staff. There were a couple of large tables and that is where the attention went. The ribeye steak was very good. The gray cheese soup was watery and lacking taste. I would not recommend this restaurant before trying others.This is a very interesting review because it came from a liar experience. We are grateful for the compliments for the fish but you didn't ate, that fish was ate by the table at your side.Our waitress give to you all the attention, but we didn't knew that you wanted to have a dinner with one of us.

Baita Sofie is a short walk from the Seceda station and has a superb view down the mountain. On a nice day, sitting outside is wonderful (if you can get a table outside).We came here because Tripadvisor listed it as "#1 of 46 Restaurants in Ortisei". While the food was good, I don't think it's the best restaurant in Ortisei. I had the pasta carbonara, which was good but I've had better elsewhere.

Our third visit back to our favourite "Hutte" and were not disappointed. We had several meals there which were great. Our hosts were warm and friendly as always which made or regular transits of "La Longia" so much more enjoyable. Thanks again guys!

We stopped and had a late lunch outdoors at the White Wolf. Breathtaking scenery, beautiful weather, great service. And the food! The food shows the cross-country heritage of a place that might be equal parts Italy, Germany and Austria. My grigliata mista was quite good, but the absolute hit of the meal was the polenta con formaggio & fughi. Grilled perfectly, with the tiniest bit of crust, there was just the right mix of crunch and melt-in-your-mouth lusciousness in every single bite. In our family, we tend to share a few bites of everyone's meal, but today it was practically a showdown as to who would get the most of this wonderful delight! Oh, and did I mention the scenery? Wow. We loved our stop at the Wellness Hotel!
