This restaurant was attached to a hotel and had a wonderful airy cave setting together with attentive efficient service.It was fairly empty and deserves more customer. The prices were higher than we have been paying but the menu was different from normal fare and beautifully prepared cooked and presented and suited us as the portions were not large. A true refuge from the tourist bustle in the very heart of the Sassi. Highly recommend

I attended a cocktail party here (that's actually how I came across it). I LOVE the place. It has the best ambiance of any bar in Matera. Lovely to sit inside or out. Great for business meetings or just hanging out with friends.

Nice place and very friendly owners. Great, fresh, beautiful seafood dishes just across the street from old town Matera. We ordered the mixed grilled seafood and a raw tuna salad. Fish was generous for the modest prices. Itâs a casual spot - mainly take-out although you can sit on lovely tables upstairs. Highly enjoyable! Thank you very much! We are glad that you liked everything, if you happen again in Matera come back to us, a greeting from the Barracuda staff.
