The Nut House first opened over 40 years ago selling only native pecans. Since that time the business has grown into a full time endeavor serving individual customers and businesses with nuts, fudge, confectionery treats and gifts. We operate out of a log cabin, built with pecan wood, which was originally constructed to house the pecan cracking operation. We also serve deli sandwiches, soups and sell the finest deli meats and cheeses. We pride ourselves on our selection, quality and excellent customer service. This is a great store that sits on a pecan orchard. They have a gift shop that sells all kinds of decorative items. They sell homemade fudge and other candies. We bought bags of coffee beans and they grounded them for us. Nice place to stop.

Really enjoyed seeing this piece of Claremore history. The restaurant inside (Pink House) is really good food. Mansion is restored to its original condition with period correct furnishings and decor, Great shape considering all of the history it's been through.

A relative has lived in Claremore for over five years, and we never knew this beautiful lake was just 10 minutes from her home! The west side of the lake has a nice park, water-play area ("splash pad"), walking trail, and fishing spots. The east side is mostly a residential street without many places to stop, but there's a parking lot at the trailhead for the mountain biking trails. Those trails are also good for hiking, but even the easiest one was what I would call moderate, with relatively steep inclines and lots of roots along the path.
