I wish I could give even more than five stars; she is such a gem! My husband and I enjoyed her class about Burgundy wines, including a wide-ranging and fully delicious tasting. It was fascinating to see in the maps EXACTLY which plot of land the grapes were grown for many of the wines we sampled. She was generous with her knowledge of Beaune and local wineries and made sure to point us in the right direction for meals in town. We had our kids and came in on short notice so we were looking for good, local, not fussy lunches and dinners. The next day we met Adeline at the amazing Saturday market and gathered the remaining ingredients for our day of cooking! She patiently walked us through the market, pointing out her favorite local vendors. To buy fresh the cream being poured from the local dairy that we used in three different dishes was a treat. Before our meeting we emailed about our family's likes and dislikes, and she put together the perfect menu. We walked back to her lovely kitchen/lab/tasting room. It is STUNNING, spacious and light-filled. She had so much prepped and ready for us to use our time efficiently without being taxing. The kids were on one cooking "team", my husband and I on the other. The kids made fresh pasta (a first), homemade ice cream and an apple tart tartin. Hubby and I tackled other things - including zucchini soup with veggies from her garden. She paired our lovely lunch with wine and cremant (local bubbly). I could go on and on...hopefully you get the point. You will not regret booking time with Adeline. She is a wealth of knowledge, personable, approachable, well-traveled, and a skilled chef and sommelier. Think of here for couples, individuals, corporate team building. She can fill you in on her curated wine club as well. Top to bottom one of the best family things we've done together while traveling. Oh, did I mention the cute little chickens wandering around the yard? And that her space is walkable from anywhere in town. And that she can curate wines for you.
