We live a stone's throw from the race course. We often attend the Friday Night Racing to have a meal and catch-up with friends. They have plenty of variety when it comes to food. The kids have lots to do as well, rides, face painting and movies on a big screen. It's great to get out and enjoy a free night for families. Lots of parking in surrounding carparks. Infield carpark is a far walk for kids and older people

Had a brilliant day in the sun. Boxing day racing and it was very packed. Easy to get to, bus from wynyard stopped right outside. Free entry to international passport holders, got ticket and straight in, no queue. Second visit here and first time there seemed to be more food stalls. Inside the main hall there was only pies sandwiches sausage rolls, felt like I was at a football game! Luckily found a Greek stall outside on the grass and had amazing honey chicken and chips, gorgeous. Tons of bookies to take your bets so no queues there. Drinks take a bit longer, not many bars for the amount of folk but then it keeps the drunks down, not being able to drink too fast. Everyone dresses up and looked amazing and smart, police and staff keep good control and I was glad to see staff stopping three lads smoking on the grass, well done. A brilliant day but ladies remember your flat shoes to change into....
