Our campsite is nestled in the woods of Kigwema village and about 1 km away from Kisama Heritage Village. We have 40 tents, split between 2 man, 3 man and 5 man tents. We offer our guests sleeping mats, sleeping bags and tent lights. Breakfast is simple and complimentary. We have space for a bonfire, activities, dining and outside parking.

Wonderfully managed trip

Camp David helped us out during our visit to Dzukou Valley Nagaland. They were very helpful in guiding us from the very start of booking the trip, not just about the camping itself but all our additional queries regarding travel from Dimapur to Kohima, our stay at Kohima/Kigwema and so forth. The camping amenities were perfect, and the best part were their local guides! Mr Lumli and his friends Longtili and Trechung (Sorry for mis-spelled names) were some of the sweetest people and took very good care of us, while keeping up our spirit even in the difficult parts of the trek with great conversations! Oh and they also took great pictures ;) A big thank you for this experience Camp David!

Kohima Camp Nagaland

This nomadic super luxury camp introduces the discerning traveller to different adventures in carefully selected exceptional locations in the mountains, deserts, jungles and unexplored countryside. Experience the many moods of exotic India with its dramatic landscapes, rustic and unexplored rural surroundings. At our Kohima camp celebrate tribal hues at the Hornbill Festival, explore quaint tribal Naga villages, or simply curl up in your 'tent with a view' and so much more…

The BEST place to stay for the Hornbill Festival!

We loved the Kohima Camp. Yogi, the manager was always there to greet you as you arrived at the camp. He provided a comprehensive welcome to the camp, and was available at any time for questions or recommendations. Yogish was a our butler, who showed us to our tent and provided service during our stay. No detail is forgotten in these luxury tents. Hot water, hair dryer, stationery, sleep masks, along with fluffy towels and creamy lotions. There is a phone to us if you need anything once you are zipped into your tent. The sheets are lush and a hot water bottle is provided at night at your request. The on site restaurant served delicious meals and provided excellent service. An evening campfire allowed for guests to visit while enjoying hot cider and appetizers. Very well done, all the comforts of home and prime seats to the Opening Ceremony of the Hornbill Festival. This is a once in a lifetime even, with an unforgettable stay at TUTC’s Kohima Camp.

Camp Kite Manja

My experience with Kite Manja

Reviewed By NafisaA67

I have stayed at the Kite Manja campsite at the Hornbill festival more than once. They provide authentic camping experiences throughout Northeast India. One of their specialities is that they always promote locals food and beverages in the campsite which also provide travellers with an opportunity to learn and explore different food and cultural experiences. Their style is as real as it could get! I have trusted them for 7 yrs now and they haven´t let me down. Best campsite I know. Also their knowledge of the destinations, explorative options and folk culture is out of the world. I recomend everyone to stay with Kitemanja.

Campsite Yedikha

The campsite itself resembles the terrace farms of Nagaland as it has three levels. The first level has the parking space, the kitchen area and a few tents. The second layer has most of the tents and the bonfire area. The third layer is the best as it offers an uninterrupted view of beautiful paddy fields of Jakhama village, with the backdrop of the hills. The whole campsite has a natural boundary of oak trees with flowers and orchids ornamenting it. It is only 5.4 km away from Kisama village, the venue of the annual Hornbill festival in Nagaland. For those looking to trek to the Dzukou valley, this campsite serves as the starting point and they can also take part in the acclimatisation walks and treks before they begin their actual trek. Even those who want to use shared transport, can get off at the highway and simply walk for 10 minutes to reach the campsite.
