The Garland Ox seemed to have its social-distancing act together. The pub contains several separate small spaces, but with plenty of places to sit and be safely spread out. You don't need to go right up to the bar, because the staff provide table service. And they take your name and number down, so you don't have to touch pen and paper. The pleasant, on-the-ball young barman (Andrew?) approached me as I came in, not in an officious but a welcoming way and took my details and order. His young female colleague was equally lively and easygoing. They helped create a friendly vibe in the pub that July afternoon. Various Bodmin locals were in, and their lively sociability--despite the social distancing--made for an entertaining visit. Good on the Garland Ox.
