Ioannina (Greek: Ιωάννινα, Greek pronunciation: [io̞ˈɐ.ni.nɐ]), often called Yannena (Γιάννενα, Greek pronunciation: [ˈʝɐ.ne̞.nɐ]) within Greece, is the capital and largest city of the Ioannina regional unit and of Epirus, an administrative region in north-western Greece. Its population is 112,486, according to 2011 census. It lies at an elevation of approximately 500 metres (1,640 feet) above sea level, on the western shore of lake Pamvotis (Παμβώτις). Ioannina is located 410 km (255 mi) northwest of Athens, 260 kilometres (162 miles) southwest of Thessaloniki and 80 km (50 miles) east of the port of Igoumenitsa in the Ionian Sea.

It was Friday's evening and all places were full but we were lucky to find a table at Maison gourment. Since you get in it is like you are getting yourself into a fairytale or a place of magic. The ladies outside are hospital, professional and absolutely friendly, the guys inside were all the same and they are all multilingual and of possess. The place is spacious; divided into a big place for nonsmokers, very convenient for kids and another part for smokers and bar. The interior is cheerful, the music is enticing and the bathrooms are super clean. We returned on another day to try a new piece of dessert and aman! It was a poem. I even had my plant with red flowers with me and I felt that she matched the place specially those golden lights. The variety of desserts is tantalising .. I highly recommend blueberry Swiss roll, Bueno creamy piece and hazelnut creamy piece. Coffee is lovely as well as hot chocolate and tea that comes with honey. We got free bottled water which is a very nice gest. I believe the prices are nice in return of the outstanding service and vivid entourage. 10/10
