This Spanish restaurant is a cut above. It has a lovely, chic interior - the booths are especially good. The service was genuine and helpful. We ordered from the set menu, which was simply superb. For mains, my partner had the steak which she loved and I had the half chicken with a side of very tasty wild rice. The flavours were subtle yet very appealing. This is not the cheapest place but it sails about the generally average food Manchester has to offer. If you like Spanish food, cooked expertly and with great service then I would highly recommend!

Evuna Deansgate

Have eaten here a few times before and it was always decent without being anything spectacular but it’s close by the hotel I was staying at and I adore Spanish food so gave it another try.I wish I hadn’t, without doubt the worst Spanish food I have ever had.Firstly the pata negra was some cheap alternative and had almost no flavour. Good pata negra I’ve had is at least 3 years old when I asked the manager he guessed it was 6 months old, the fact he didn’t know tells me everything about this place. It was also too thick and cut from a machine. I’m pretty sure it was bought in pre packed but nothing to base that on other than a hunch. The tortilla was even worse. You can add all sorts to a tortilla, chorizo, salt cod etc... but a classic is purely potato, onions and eggs. It’s amazing what you can get 3 simple ingredients to taste like. A good tortilla is a joy to behold, not here though. No onions meant no flavour, also no seasoning so you just had bland potato and bland eggs.On a plus the steak dish was decent and house red more than decent for the price but the rest was way short of what they should be serving.Hi there, we are really sorry that you had this experience at Evuna and that our Jamon and Tortilla fell short of your expectations on that occasion. We understand that we deducted both these items off the bill to make up for this.Re the Tortilla, I have investigated this and our chef did make a mistake when cooking the tortilla and seasoning was missed out on this occasion. However, we would like to clarify your comments regarding the Jamon Iberico. This is purchased from C and D wines (https://www.canddwines.co.uk/food) who are a fine spanish food importer and we buy Iberico Jamon on the bone. The Ham has been hand sliced as the slicer was broken and this is the reason it was thicker than usual. All our Iberico Ham is at least 24 months old and we apologise if due to lack of knowledge the waiter did not give you correct information. Slicing with a machine allows the ham to be sliced thinner and is no reflection on the quality. Quality of produce is extremely important to us and we want to highlight that we do not by low grade pre-packed ham.We thankyou for your positive comments regarding the rest if the food and wine and would hope that you would give us another chance and forgive us for making some errors on this occasion.Best RegardsJane Dowler

Visited here today as a catch-up with my gal pal. Ordered two tapas dishes to share and a salad each. The tapas was completely average, the salad was tasty. Although describes as an aubergine and walnut salad, it’s not. It’s a small dish consisting of half an aubergine and three walnuts. No salad leaves, certainly not a main as we were expecting. Prawns were not very hot when served but tasted ok. Patatas bravas was very unmemorable. Wouldn’t recommend here at all and certainly wouldn’t return. Very disappointed in food and experience for the price of the bill. Hi LuciaReise,Thanks for taking the time to leave a review! We are sorry to hear you were not entirely happy with your choice of dishes on the afternoon you dined with us. It appears our tapas concept may not have been explained too thoroughly to you. All of our dishes are small plates and we recommend between 2-3 per person, we don't have any main course size dishes so our apologies that this was not explained well to you. I believe you may have accidentally muddled up two dishes as the - our 'roasted aubergine & asturian cheese' is sandwiched between the 'partridge salad' and 'beetroot, fennel & orange salad'. Perhaps you saw the word salad there? The gambas are a dish we do recommend eating when they first arrive to the table as they do lose their heat quickly as their is a large surface area. It is a shame to hear that the patatas bravas didn't hit the spot for you either!Maybe one day you will be persuaded to visit us again & enjoy the experience far more!Kind Regards,Holly Richardson

Went on a Saturday Afternoon. Good ambiance. More importantly the food was tasty with generous portions. Sangria was tasty. Reasonably priced. Well worth a visit if in Manchester.
