Nice meal and nice surroundings. Very Mediterranean style food. Dolmas (stuffed vine leaves), hummous, falafel, olives etc. Good prices too. I was disappointed, however, to receive my cold drink with a plastic straw in. Unfortunately I didnât realise they would do this so all our drinks had them in. If Iâd know I would have refused the drink. My daughter wanted her left over pizza boxing up and it came out in a polystyrene tray too. Now this is heartbreaking to me as polystyrene is terrible for the planet and cannot be recycled. If youâre listening la cafetiere please switch to paper straws (if you need to provide straws at all) and paper boxes for take outs. Thank you. Dear jjpink34It is so unfortunate for us that you gave us such inadequate rating because of your views about using plastic.Paper straws changes drinks taste and on that occasion we ran out of cardboard pizza boxes.You could have voiced your views and suggestions to us without a lowered rating. We listen to all our customers but we hope that they fairly review the work that's been done to get the meal and the service to you that you enjoyed.

Recently came across Lavavta whilst out and about. We were looking for somewhere for a nice lunch and decided to stop. Okay, it was early afternoon and there wasn't many people dining but that didn't matter. We ordered lamb dishes and they were excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Brilliant little cafe/restaraunt. Came here with a couple of friends to get a bite to eat, was given great service by a young lady called corinne, who not only helped us decide what to eat and drink but couldnt do enough to keep us happy. The home-made lemonade coupled with some complimentary home made dips (hummus, sour cream and babaganoush) just added to the whole experience. Living not too far away, I will definitely be back, probably with my parents next time they visit.Would recommend.Really pleased for your excellent review following a great experience at Oranaise.
