A very good Italian restaurant in Clacton. All food prepared and cooked on the premises. Plenty of seafood including lobster and sea bass. Staff extremely friendly and looked after us very well. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed dinner at Francoâs. dinner menu was on a blackboard and I thought fairly limited, however the food was very tasty. The chicken and porcini mushroom risotto was delicious. Staff were very helpful and friendly. An ideal location for a special meal. Would return again if ever in Clacton.

We did dine her when the restaurant first opened and enjoyed our meal but this is the first time we've been back since then. We've clearly been missing out!Restaurant was quite busy and the area at the back had a party booking that was 'in good spirits' but not disruptive. Ambience, lighting and music levels were perfect for a thoroughly enjoyable meal.Mussels for starters was a generous sized portion - I had only expected 6-10 but the bowlful was delicious - well recommended. Whilst my friends both went for pasta dishes for their mains I had the swordfish and thoroughly enjoyed it, as did they!3 people, 2 courses each, washed down with 2 bottles of wine for under £90 is pretty good value. Service was good too, so will definitely be back in the not too distant future.

We popped in here after finding it earlier on In the year when it was shut between Christmas and New Year. What a great find too. The Best breakfast certainly lived up to its name with the best "proper" bacon and a lovely sausage pattie which made a pleasant change from a generic sausage. The tea was hot and plentiful and hurrah good bread toasted not plastic bread and there was plenty of butter. Great service and hubby has the Big breakfast which he nearly finished! We even took home a slice of the bakewell tart which he said was as good as my home made one. Will definitely return there to try their evening meals so much so that we are looking to take our caravan near there just to visit them.
