We only get to George 2 or 3 times a year but make a point in dining at Old Townhouse Restaurant. The food is always excellently prepared by Janet and there is a substantial menu with specials. The steaks are always excellent. Good wine list too. Nicely situated just off the top of York Street with parking just 50 metres away, generally with a car guard. Medium sized restaurant but seems cosier. Always worth a visit.

We booked this for our second evening of a three night stay.It has a pretence of a tasting michelin star type meal.However the meat was tough and the Indian fish dish , although flavoursome used the brown meat of the fish and was raw .I had to send both dishes back.Ate at the Cantina , which was very good , if you choose the correct dishesThank you for taking the time to write a review about your most recent visit to Henry White's. A new restaurant with a theme - " It's all about the Food". An apt theme as , while the food was excellent, the location - behind a Garage- and the decor - Wimpy look-alike-leave much to be desired. Staff were jovial and efficient. Meals , from a limited menu, were tasty, well-prepared, nicely presented and good value. They serve a range of coffeeâs, teaâs and other beverages including delicious milkshakes and smoothies to tempt you're taste buds. For breakfast you can choose between bacon and eggs, omelettes, croissants and more. Toasted sandwiches and salads, the perfect light meal, are also served. Or treat yourself with a scone, muffin or a slice of cake.We enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast while waiting for our daughter. The staff were so friendly to serve her a smoothie while she had her appointment, even though she was not with us at the table.The french toast can be recommended!
